Progressive Amy Vilela Discusses Congressional Campaign
Amy and the TYT crew covered a wide range of issues, from the cowardice of the GOP to updates on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and even some shocking headlines coming out of Las Vegas this past week.
Amy’s co-hosting comes right as our race to represent the working people of Nevada’s First Congressional District heats up ahead of our primary.
To catch you up to speed, as of last night, with the Nevada candidate filing period officially closed, Amy and our corporate-backed opponent are both officially on the ballot and will be going head-to-head in the Democratic primary on June 14th.
We’re also rapidly approaching our final quarterly FEC fundraising deadline before voters in Las Vegas go to the polls.
We’ve sent you a lot of emails from the campaign trail over the past 11 months about these FEC deadlines—and they’ve all been important—but this final one truly is make-or-break.
With your help, we’ve come this far, and with less than 90 days until it’s all said and done, we’ll be giving this campaign our all every single day between now and then.
Amy is ready to take her lived experience with her to Congress to fight for working people by finally passing Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, a Tenants Bill of Rights, comprehensive immigration reform, and student and medical debt cancellation, but we need the help of our nationwide progressive family to get her there.
