MSNBC: "Conservatives frustrated by popularity of Dems' voting-rights bill"

 

We have good news:   “Conservative researchers found that most Americans, even on the right, liked what Democrats proposed in their “For the People Act,” according to MSNBC.   It is reassuring that a majority of Americans support federal voting rights legislation at a time when our democracy is under attack by right-wing extremists. The For the People Act would dramatically expand access to early voting, require universal access to mail-in voting, and even make Election Day a national holiday.   This bill is exactly what our country needs right now. But Republicans are desperate to convince Americans otherwise. They've launched a seven-figure ad campaign to turn Americans against The For the People Act and sway Democrats away from eliminating the filibuster to pass it.   Our democracy won't survive inaction. We have the Senate majority and the support to pass this bill. But before we take any more action, we need to gather 53 responses to update our records on Democratic support for this historic legislation. So please, let us know.
