Ilhan’s primary last night

 

It’s official: Rep. Ilhan Omar, handily defeated her GOP-funded opponent in her primary election yesterday.

GOP donors and Super PACs put everything they had into defeating Ilhan — but she had the support of the communities and people who she’s fought for in Congress.

AOC, Rashida, and Ilhan have now all won resounding primary victories — showing the strength of this bold, progressive movement for justice and equity. We can’t stop now. Ayanna’s primary election is in just 20 days, and we need your help to organize like never before to keep building this movement and send Ayanna back to Congress this fall.

Republicans have spent the last two years attacking Ayanna — and the entire Squad — because they’re disrupting the status quo in Washington, and fighting for people who’ve been left out and left behind for too long.

We need policies and solutions that match the scale of the crises we face. We need a People’s Justice Guarantee, Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, and more. We can’t afford to be timid in our proposals or compromise on our values.
