In 2017, he stood next to Bernie Sanders as an original co-sponsor of Medicare for All — while Joe Kennedy waited until last year to sign on.
Ed was one of the first to call for an end to qualified immunity, and he’s introduced a bill with Senators Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren to do just that.
On net neutrality, privacy rights, nuclear nonproliferation, gun safety legislation, and so much more, Ed has been at the forefront of the fights that define our times.
He does not wait for the political winds to change or settle for incrementalism.
