In this race, there are big money backers of the status quo that are going to try to stop our movement.

These are folks who don’t want to see us pass Medicare for All or the Green New Deal. They know Ed will fight day and night to disrupt the status quo, and the ultra rich will spend whatever it takes to try to stop our progressive movement from succeeding.

But Ed will not back down or waver. That’s always been the case.

Back in 1980, he was an often-lonely voice sounding the alarm on a “warming planet” and nuclear proliferation at the Democratic Convention. But the establishment was not willingly giving him that primetime speaking slot. It was only after a tough fight alongside activists that they relented.

It was that same activism and willingness to fight party leaders that led Ed to partner with AOC to introduce the Green New Deal. That upset a lot of folks on Capitol Hill, but Ed did it because it’s what we need if we’re going to save our planet and get justice for frontline communities.

Ed’s always been a trouble maker, and we can count on him to fight for us no matter the political cost. But this is the toughest election he’s ever faced, and he cannot do it alone.
