We’re suing to stop the coming plastics surge
Louisiana regulators recently approved air permits to build what would be one of the largest plastics plants in the world, even though it would dump 800 tons of toxic pollution into a local community and contribute to the worldwide plastic pollution crisis. We’re representing people in St. James Parish, a region that’s already surrounded by industrial plants and dealing with high cancer rates.

“Donald Trump’s administration has unleashed an unprecedented assault on our environment and the health of our communities. His policies threaten our climate, air, water, public lands, wildlife, and oceans; no amount of his greenwashing can change the simple fact: Donald Trump has been the worst president for our environment in history.”
— Environmental and public health advocates on the current administration’s environmental record. HOW YOU CAN HELP
Don’t let this administration undo the people’s environmental law
When a government wants to build a toxic waste incinerator in your neighborhood, bulldoze homes to build smog-producing highways, or run pipelines through ancestral Native American lands, a federal law gives you the right to find out and fight back. That law is the National Environmental Policy ACT (NEPA), and the fossil fuel industry cronies in the Trump administration just announced plans to gut NEPA’s protections.
TAKE ACTION
Demand the transition to 100% clean energy
The 100% Clean Economy Act of 2019 would ensure everyone benefits from our transition to a clean energy economy. Urge your member of Congress to co-sponsor this important piece of legislation.
