This happened attempt by mostly Republicans happened in 2018. It was defeated, but these remain among the stakes in 2020. It was an attempt to secretly steal the $2.9 Trillion SSN Surplus from its Trust Fund. SSN has nothing to do with the deficit and yet they wanted to treated its surplus as though it was a general appropriation. That surplus is needed as Baby Boomers continue to retire. Many of those Baby Boomers are Trump Supporters. Do they know?
