But recent polls show the idea garnering widespread public support, for perhaps the first time, and the range of groups signed on to a new policy memo—the ACLU and the Women's March, Immigrant Defense Project and Mijente, the Transgender Law Center and Black Youth Project 100—suggest a number of communities looking for a new way forward.
