GLOBAL SHAME: Trump YELLS At Zelenskyy in Oval Office, Putin CHEERS

Donald Trump and J.D. Vance berated Zelensky in the Oval Office, questioning his gratitude for U.S. aid and accusing Ukraine of mismanaging the war. MAGA supporters praised the exchange, while critics saw it as deference to Putin and a sign of weakening U.S. support. In response, U.S. allies, including Canada, the UK, France, and Germany, reaffirmed their commitment to Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of standing against Russian aggression.

CAN TRUMP READ? Asks British PM to read out loud

A new video has reignited speculation about Donald Trump’s reading ability after he asked UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer to read a letter from King Charles aloud. This mirrors past incidents where Trump appeared to struggle with reading or avoided it altogether. Some suggest he simply refuses to wear reading glasses, but his repeated reluctance to read in public keeps the question open.

From over the weekend:

ONE MONTH in Trump's economy

One month into Donald Trump's second presidency, economic metrics show little change. Unemployment decreased slightly from 4.1% to 4%, while inflation rose from 2.9% to 3%. Consumer sentiment has dropped 10%, indicating growing pessimism, though the stock market remains flat. Overall, the economy appears similar to when Biden left office, with trends to be monitored in the coming months.

From over the weekend:

Rogan goes full conspiracy, he may be beyond help

Joe Rogan’s recent discussions reflect a shift toward conspiracy theories and criticism of progressive ideals. He claims psychological manipulation and government-funded programs are distorting public discourse and his views on authoritarianism and the left seem increasingly disconnected. This marks a noticeable departure from his previous stance, as a former Bernie Sanders supporter.

The guy who humiliated Zelensky about his clothes was Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend

Courier

By now, you've seen the clip.

It’s the Oval Office. Cameras are rolling. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky sits opposite Donald Trump and JD Vance, enduring their humiliating, schoolyard bullying.

Just when it seems things can't get worse, a voice interrupts—not to challenge Trump’s policies or ask about the war—but to mock Zelensky’s clothing as “disrespectful.”

It’s surreal: Zelensky, a heroic ally whose country is fighting for survival, scolded over his outfit while his family and nation face existential threats from Putin’s brutal regime.

Here's the kicker: That wasn't even a real journalist. It was Brian Glenn—Marjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend and far-right podcaster at "Real America’s Voice."

We'll explain exactly how this happened (and why it's just the beginning). But first, please chip in now to help COURIER protect independent journalism and ensure the truth survives this dark moment:

Support the Free Press

Here's how we reached this disgraceful moment, where Marjorie Taylor Greene’s boyfriend was given a major role in shaping American diplomacy:

Trump and Republicans have spent decades eroding trust in journalism, labeling legitimate reporters as threats to America if their reporting challenged Trump or the wealthy interests he serves.

Back in power, Trump is escalating his attacks—insulting reporters, encouraging doxxing, filing lawsuits, and even creating absurd loyalty tests (like demanding the AP call the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America") to justify banning reputable outlets from the White House.

Now, Trump is adding slots for right-wing propagandists and replacing respected journalists with figures like Brian Glenn, who don’t just report the news but actively participate in staged spectacles to shape public perception.

Tony, Glenn isn't an outlier; he's soon to be the new normal in the Trump administration.

This calculated assault on press freedom aims to silence accountability and reshape the truth to be whatever Donald Trump says it is. COURIER is fighting back with fearless, independent journalism—free from corporate influence or political manipulation.

If you care about preserving democracy and protecting truth, we urgently need your support to defend journalistic independence and the free press while we still can.

Stand with COURIER

The COURIER Team

Sunday Message from Meidas Founder…MAGA Imploding?!

Sunday Message from Meidas Founder…MAGA Imploding?!

By Ben Meiselas

It’s Sunday. This has been a historic week. Get your cup of coffee, tea, or water, and let’s chat.

MeidasTouch has been on the front lines of reporting on people rising up at town halls against Trump, Musk, and MAGA politicians.

From Texas to Kansas, to Tennessee, and Long Island, we covered town halls in places that voted for Trump. People are pissed that their Medicaid is being cut, the services they rely on are being taken away, our economy is tanking fast, and Trump had the most humiliating Oval Office interaction in history when he and JD Vance behaved like petulant schoolyard bullies and yelled at President Zelenskyy before the worldwide media.

At a town hall in Hempstead, Long Island, which is a +5 Trump area, Democratic Congressman Tom Suozzi got a standing ovation from a packed crowd of more than a thousand people when he said: “I’m normally the guy who is about finding common ground, but there is no common ground I can find with how Trump and Vance behaved.” That crowd was made up of a lot of Republican voters.

People are sick of Trump already. This has been the most disastrous start to any presidency in American history. Last night, Elon Musk—who is running the country (into the ground)—posted on social media that the United States needs to leave NATO.

Whether Trump is an actual asset of Russia, a useful idiot, whether Putin has something on him, or if something else is going on, what’s clear is that every move Trump is making has one main beneficiary: Putin.

Look, I think 20-25 percent of MAGA will follow Trump no matter what he does. They will follow him to the end. They are so ingrained in the cult, it is beyond any sense of logic. But I do think a good portion of Trump voters can be peeled off—Trump and Musk’s own conduct can wake them up from the trance or complacency they were in if we just give a little nudge.

When I was a practicing lawyer, for cases involving “intentional infliction of emotional distress,” one of the tests to determine if the conduct at issue was sufficiently outrageous was whether it “shocks the conscience.” To a law student, the term “shocks the conscience” might seem a bit ambiguous and murky, but in the real world, when it happens, it is very clear what it looks like and what it is. Other than the oligarch billionaires, Trump and Musk have intentionally inflicted emotional distress on Americans (and, vicariously, on people in many other places in the world), and their behavior has absolutely shocked the conscience. It has shocked people into waking up from the rage algorithms that incarcerated their minds and reemerging into the real world.

The MeidasTouch Network is a catalyst in waking people up.

It’s a tug-of-war we play each day against the right-wing disinformation network that tries to keep its audience in a hypnotic trance.

It’s the truth- and evidence-based approach we espouse versus the fear-mongering and hate that is spewed by our adversaries.

Every day, every minute, every second, and every millisecond, an information war is taking place. We cede no ground, we cede no territory—we push forward, go on the offense, and ensure our framework and worldview prevail instead of existing within the contours of a right-wing hellscape and constantly playing defense.

In these trying times, I actually find hope and optimism in the existential nature of this all.

Trump and Musk clearly have a final solution. It’s not hidden by subterfuge or deception anymore. We can see it. It’s the evisceration of the United States, the obliteration of our democracy and freedom, and the exaltation of Russia and transnational oligarchs with technocratic fiefdoms. We now confront a binary choice. Does America survive? Yes or no. Trump and Musk want the answer to be no. We want the answer to be yes. I believe Americans, by and large, want the answer to be yes. So let’s not overcomplicate this as politicians and political pontificators often do.

Do we save our country or let it fall to Trump, Musk, and JD Vance? Because, you see, if we can stop what they are doing right here and right now, we don’t just secure a short-term win—I am confident we achieve a generational win.

That’s why each day, I think of my tasks in terms of both short-term execution and generational infrastructure building.

The MeidasTouch Network and the Meidas Mighty have the ability, the reach, and the wherewithal to get this done—not just for now, but for generations. I promise you this: If you continue to fight, we will get this done together, and we will get through this together.

Don’t let them rob you of your joy, your love, or your desire to leave this world a better place for future generations.

I am so honored to be in this fight with you.

I am proud of the achievements of the MeidasTouch Network becoming the most viewed and downloaded network, beating Fox and Joe Rogan, because I know that this result shows the work you put in is paying off. (Remember to add the MeidasTouch Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.)

It means your message—and our collective message—is reaching hundreds of millions and even billions of people.

We can’t slow down.

Failure, truly, is not an option.

We have to grow. We have to expand. We have to keep reaching more people. It’s imperative. We need your help. If you are not subscribed to this Substack, please subscribe now to help us reach our March goal.

The shame of it

The shame of it

But it’s not our shame.

Friends,

A brief word today at the end of the sixth horrific week of Trump 2.0 (before I post my weekly cartoon).

After Trump and Vance’s disgraceful treatment of President Zelensky on Friday, some of you might feel ashamed of America. You might even feel ashamed to be an American.

The proper locus of shame is Trump and Vance. I’m ashamed that they, along with Elon Musk, are now leading our nation. I’m also ashamed that their Republican lackeys in Congress are enabling and encouraging them. I’m ashamed that Democrats in Congress are so supine.

Yet I urge you not to give in to the sort of resignation or cynicism that believes nothing can be done — that we are powerless and have no choice but to watch our nation and everything it has stood for be hijacked by Trump, Vance, and Musk.

We have enormous power and many choices. When the American people understand what is happening — as they are beginning to — no Republican in Congress will be safe. Even now, majorities of independents and Democrats, and even some 30 percent of Republican voters, believe we must stand with Ukraine.

The fundamental choice has not been as stark since World War II: democracy and freedom, or dictatorship and tyranny.

Trump and his sycophants are siding with the latter. The rest of us must loudly, proudly, and boldly proclaim our allegiance to the former.

Trump is emboldening the dark forces of dictatorship everywhere. Taiwan is reporting more Chinese military drills around the island.

Europe and all free people around the world must rally at this time of American emergency. If the United States won’t seize Russia’s frozen assets and put them into an account for Ukraine to pay for further arms, Europeans must do this and let Ukraine buy from European defense contractors.

If you yourself want to help Ukrainians, you might consider United 24 (the Ukrainian state platform for donations, including many important projects); RAZOM (an American NGO, tax-deductible for U.S. citizens, that cooperates with Ukrainian NGOs to support civilians); Documenting Ukraine (an initiative that helps give Ukrainians a voice, also tax-deductible for Americans); and Come Back Alive (a Ukrainian NGO that supports soldiers on the battlefield and veterans).

A final thought. What we are witnessing from Trump and Vance and Musk — their bellicose bullying, their outright lies, their fear-mongering, their disrespect and disdain for others, their emboldening of dictators around the world — is not all bad if it awakens America.

The more Americans see and absorb the horrors of this regime, the greater the likelihood we will mobilize against it. Not all of us, of course, but the great majority.

As bad as this regime gets, it will clarify for Americans what is happening to this country, and what we must do to get it back on the track toward social justice, democracy, and widespread prosperity.

Yes, the regime is harming many innocent people. Its lawless cruelty is sickening. But there will be a reckoning.

I have always believed America is not a nation of bullies. We have protected the vulnerable, comforted the afflicted, granted refuge to those fleeing violence and persecution, and given voice to those who otherwise would not be heard.

These ideals are found in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, Emma Lazarus’s poem affixed to the Statue of Liberty, FDR’s second inaugural address, and Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” sermon at the 1963 March on Washington.

They connect us with previous generations of Americans who risked everything —some of whom sacrificed their lives — to preserve democracy and achieve a greater good.

Do not feel shame in America. Feel pride in the ideals we share. Feel honored that you are an activist warrior on the right side of history. Feel strength in our conviction. Feel power in our cause.

We will prevail against Trump — against his bullying, his brutality, and his barbarity.
