The News Trump Buried
A bank dropped ICE. A judge saved thousands of votes. And that’s not even all of it.
Donald Trump spent two years building his World Cup moment. Fighter jets overhead. Face on the big screen. FIFA even moved its offices into Trump Tower. Then he walked onto the field for the trophy ceremony, and the stadium—Spain and Argentina fans alike—met him with a wall of boos.
All that money, and the boos still won. While he soaked that in on the world stage, back home the losses piled up.

BIG TECH IS LOSING TO TOWNS OVER WATER
Big Tech is losing data center fights in the places you’d least expect—and losing them fast.
In Patterson, California, the ground is literally sinking from years of overpumping—people there already ration water. So when word spread that a developer wanted a data center that would guzzle millions of gallons a day, Patterson didn’t wait. The City Council voted 4-0 Thursday for an emergency moratorium—before a single application was even filed.
“We put you guys as a priority,” Councilmember Carlos Roque told the packed room. “We listen and we understand your concerns.”
Patterson wasn’t alone. That same week, St. Charles County, Missouri, froze new data centers as well. Walton County, Florida, banned them for good. AI can’t run without water. These towns won’t give it up.
TRUMP’S OWN FRAUD HUNTER JUST BLEW UP HIS LIE
Trump spent 26 minutes at the White House Thursday night lying about foreign powers stealing our elections. ABC, CNN, and NBC wouldn’t even air it live. Minutes later, his own hand-picked fraud detector torched the whole thing.
John Solomon leads the regime’s task force assigned to dig up “proof” of election fraud. Asked whether any votes were changed in 2020, he admitted: “The intelligence community has zero evidence that a foreign power flipped the vote in 2020, ‘22 or ‘24.” Zero foreign fraud—direct from the man Trump put in charge of finding it.
Pressed on whether former President Joe Biden really won, Solomon stammered, “I’m still researching”—and staffers hustled him out of the room. For the record: Biden won. That’s not in question anywhere but in Trump’s head.
Trump’s voter suppression scheme is all built on this one big lie. Proof of citizenship, ID at the ballot box, mail-in voting gutted—all to stop a “crime” the regime’s own investigator just admitted he can’t find. Because it didn’t happen.
KANSAS JUDGE SAVED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF VOTES
Kansas Republicans wrote a law built to throw out valid ballots. Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed it, warning it would disenfranchise voters. But the GOP overrode her and passed it anyway.
This week, a judge threw it all out.
The law was cruel and simple: any mail ballot arriving after 7 pm on Election Day got tossed. Gone—even if the postmark proved you sent it on time, or if the post office was the one running late. On Thursday, Douglas County Judge Carl Folsom III blocked it statewide.
In November 2024 alone, this law would’ve thrown out more than 2,100 real ballots. In one March election under the rule, one in 30 mail votes got rejected.
And the hypocrisy is immeasurable. The Republican now fighting to kill the three-day grace period, AG Kris Kobach, is the same person who championed it back in 2017.
The state’s primary is only weeks away. And for now, every ballot still counts.
THEY MADE A BANK WALK AWAY FROM ICE
For anyone who doubts the power of resistance, share this story with them.
Citizens Bank—one of the biggest banks in America—quietly financed the two largest companies running ICE detention camps for years: GEO Group and CoreCivic. According to the coalition that fought to stop it, Citizens helped the two companies access roughly $2.5 billion—even as most other major banks had already headed for the exits.
People responded by organizing and pushing back hard. The De-ICE Citizens Bank Coalition—churches, synagogues, unions, and everyday customers—started pulling their money out. The Greater Boston Interfaith Organization yanked millions. Montclair and Jersey City, New Jersey, both voted to withdraw their funds.
On Friday, Citizens Bank caved and announced it’s cutting ties with both companies. The bank swears politics had nothing to do with it—just “changed commercial circumstances.”
The De-ICE coalition called it what it is: a victory for people who refused to let a bank finance human suffering. Months of pressure, millions pulled, then Citizens suddenly walks.
Call it what you want. It worked.
They didn’t outspend anyone—they out-organized them. Enough people closed their accounts at once that one of the biggest banks in America gave in.
That’s the one thing the regime can’t buy its way out of: people who won’t quit. It’s what this whole operation runs on. Readers—not a corporation, not a billionaire—fund every investigation we run and every fight we pick. That support has turned into more than 794,000 letters to Congress since November 2024, and reporting that reaches millions every day.

And one last thing—hit the ❤️ like button and restack this edition, so the Citizens Bank story reaches every person the algorithm would hide it from. The system won’t spread a story about people beating it. That’s on us.
Onward!

Two things I want to hear from you in the comments:
If you found out your bank was bankrolling ICE, would you pull your money out?
And what’s a win—this week or any week—that reminded you we’re not powerless? Tell me about it.

JUST A FEW COMMENTS:
The Citizens Bank story is huge. It proves that moving local government funds and organizing at the grassroots level hits these institutions right where it hurts. Absolutely pulling funds if my bank ever finances human suffering!
Only works if you don't put your money back after
Definitely. I hope those people do not give back their money back to Citizens.
Use credit unions!
Agree....I wont do business there again!
Absofuckinglutely!!!!
If I found out that my bank was funding ICE, yes I would definitely pull out my money. I closed ALL of my accounts at JP/Chase Morgan when I found out what they were doing with Epstein.
Seeing real, tangible wins like a major bank caving to community pressure and local towns protecting their water supply is the exact reminder we need right now. The regime can buy headlines, but organized people get results.
I truly believe we are so much stronger because we are quietly organized, ! I love that we keep getting win after win while the headlines are constantly reporting about his losses! We just keep marching forward!
Great news, Scott! The latest 2 news article wins: Phang's asking for a $1,000 per day penalty for Blanch's stalled Trumpstein files release and the freeze on the Paramount merger. Let's keep the pressure on those miscreants! Less than 100 days till 11/3, we need to keep up the momentum 💪 There are more of us than them and the movement is getting louder and stronger!
I am loving all of these good happenings, thanks to all for the effort! I'm almost up on cloud nine. Many, many thanks!!
Scott, I have to ask, even though it's not good news.
Why is it only Meidas that is covering the escalating war in Iran?
I listened to Ben's coverage this morning. I don't hear anyone else even touching the facts of what is happening. Thanks. I don't know who else to ask about this.
Meidas coverage of the war has been excellent! They also broke the lettuce-gate🥬 story.
March 2025: Taylor Farms contributes $1 million to MAGA Inc., days after the FDA delays the Food Traceability Rule.
The FDA informs Taylor Farms that one of its iceberg lettuce products tested positive for cyclospora, prompting a voluntary recall.
During the cyclospora outbreak: NYT reports Taylor Farms hires a former Trump WH official.
Last week: Taylor Farms executives meet with WH and FDA officials, where the company challenges aspects of the govt’s outbreak conclusions.
Now: Taylor Farms says the FDA apologized, calling the positive test a false positive and stating no Taylor Farms product has tested positive for cyclospora.”

In the days of the bus boycott, and the civil rights movement generally, there were three TV networks plus PBS. This helped wake some of the white North up to what was happening in the South. The 1963 bombing of the 16th Street Baptist Church, in which four young girls died. The murder of Medgar Evers. The murder of civil rights workers Viola Liuzzo, Andrew Goodman, Mickey Schwerner, and James Chaney. Seeing George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door -- and especially the hate-filled white faces screaming at Black children trying to go to school. This had been happening in the South since the end of Reconstruction, but without the live visuals it didn't make much of an impression.
One reason the gruesome 1955 murder of 14-year-old Emmett Till in Mississippi made a huge impression is that he was visiting from Chicago, where his family still lived. His mother, Mamie Till Mobley, insisted on an open-casket funeral so that people could see what was done to her son. This helped inspire the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which started in December of that year.
P.S. If you read up on the Montgomery bus boycott, you'll realize that a lot of community organizing and mutual support went into making it succeed. This is generally true of successful boycotts and strikes. Who do you mean by "we Americans," and where are people 'tak[ing] to the streets daily"?
I recently read the book The Barn. the story of Emmett Till and it shook me to my toes, I cried. The extent of ignorance and hate of the people in the Mississippi Delta were stupifying. I just don't understand and I never will..
So awful. If you're ever in DC, The African American museum has a room set up like the funeral of Emmett Till, its a very powerful exhibit.
Thanks Susanna, I'm aware of the history, and I mean most of us Americans are not marching and protesting daily. Certainly not the 3.5% many experts say we need.
Israel pre October7th had people in the streets every night protesting against the government trying to overturn basic laws and the power of their highest court, after many protested regularly against the Gaza war and for deals to be made to get the hostages back, and Albania recently against the Kirchners.
Compared to the U.S., Israel and Albania are small and relatively self-contained. Maybe pay more attention to what's going on in the U.S. states and large cities, e.g., what went down in Minneapolis in response to the ICE raids and then the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. Resistance to ICE is happening everywhere. Keep in mind, too, that just because you haven't heard about it, doesn't mean it's not happening.
