Rubio claims Trump has "pretty solid" Iran deal on the table

Trump pitches fit over Republican "losers" and "Dumocrats" in seething Memorial Day message defending Iran deal

Folks, it wouldn't be Memorial Day without a signature, thumb-smashed screed from our imbecile-in-chief. Donald rose before dawn to get a jump start launching his holiday broadsides, this time attacking fellow Republicans — and "Dumocrats," of course — who had the temerity to question the wisdom of his fledgling Iran deal. For a fella stirring before sunrise, it sure seems like he's feeling the heat.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump torn to shreds over insurrection slush fund

Brian Tyler Cohen spoke with California gubernatorial candidate and former Health and Human Services Sec. Xavier Becerra about Donald Trump's nakedly corrupt insurrection slush fund and the very real prospect of the MAGA cult leader turning EACH of the 1500+ pardoned Jan. 6 rioters into millionaires — courtesy of American taxpayers.

Union ironworker takes on Big Lie-pushing MAGA radical in battle for critical House seat

Brian Poindexter for Congress: Brian Poindexter is a union worker and city councilman who has worked hard his entire life in machine shops, on construction sites, driving trucks, and serving his neighbors. He’s the perfect candidate to win over the working-class voters of Ohio’s 7th District, which is currently represented by a Republican who has spent his two terms in office towing the MAGA party line — and racking up a slew of nasty allegations, including domestic violence. Will you chip in to help jump-start Brian’s campaign and help Democrats pick up this vital and winnable House seat?

Thomas Massie puts Epstein back in the spotlight, vows to name names
Republican Rep. Thomas Massie certainly seems intent on making the most of his remaining eight months in office, taking dead aim at the Trump regime on NBC's Meet the Press for its continued stonewalling on all things Epstein.

Massie vowed to keep naming names and accused acting Attorney General Todd Blanche of breaking the law by withholding millions of related documents. Massie has nothing to lose at this point, and he isn't holding back. "I don't think it’s possible to get to convictions with Todd Blanche at the top and with the FBI director, Kash Patel, at the top, because they have effectively both perjured themselves by saying there’s nobody else in the files," Massie said, adding, "whether I’m in Congress or not, the Epstein Files Transparency Act is a law, and it goes on for years. So, if we can’t get this attorney general and this FBI director to do the right thing, the next ones who take those seats are obligated by law to release the files that these individuals are not releasing now."

We've said to before, and we'll say it again: Epstein ain't going away.

House Republicans give wild defenses of Trump’s shady slush fund
We know you aren't going to believe it, but House Republicans who've built their careers bowing at the altars of fiscal conservatism and swamp draining are actually AOK with Trump's ridiculous, $1.776 billion slush fund for Jan. 6 insurrectionists, with one congressman going so far as to describe the deal as "reparations" for rioters and conspirators "targeted" by the Biden administration.

The party that still can't wrap its head around reparations for 400 years of slavery somehow managed to clear that very hurdle for the MAGA mob that ransacked the Capitol and attacked police officers on behalf of its cult leader just five years ago. Sounds about white.

Trump tells Texas to remember how "disloyal" Sen. John Cornyn was to him

Having thrown his full weight behind sentient thumb callus and state Attorney General Ken Paxton just last week in Texas' bruising Senate GOP primary, Donald Trump doubled down ahead of tomorrow's runoff vote, imploring Texans to remember what matters most in this (and every other) election: loyalty to him personally.

Trump proclaimed on his social media platform: “TEXAS, REMEMBER! Ken Paxton was a GREAT Attorney General, probably the best in the Country. He was also very loyal to your favorite President, ME," seemingly forgetting that Paxton is still actually in office. Donald continued, "Ken’s opponent was VERY disloyal to me, as President." Country over party? Perhaps. But more importantly, Donald over country.

Ted Cruz calls Trump's Iran deal a potentially "disastrous mistake" — then smacks down young MAGA influencer defending it
Ted Cruz, who has gone out of his way to defend his one-time political adversary for the better part of the last decade, stuck his neck out over the weekend, calling Trump's impending Iran deal a "disastrous mistake" that would only embolden the hardline regime and provide a pathway for them to eventually achieve their nuclear ambitions. Having committed the ultimate sin of publicly voicing a dissenting opinion, Cruz was targeted by a 29-year-old right-wing influencer who has somehow become an adviser to America's imbecile-in-chief.

"No one asked you, bro. Stop trying to undermine the President and his administration," former "Stop the Steal" organizer Alex Bruesewitz tweeted at Ted. Cruz was in no mood, responding, "Hush, child. The adults are talking. I'm not your 'bro.' And young political grifters pushing Iran appeasement are not remotely helping the President."

Realllly looking forward to Donald's measured take on all this. Stand by in 3, 2, 1...

Pro-Trump billionaires plot to expand their control over our media

Block the Paramount-Warner Bros Merger: Larry and David Ellison, who cancelled "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" after the comedian publicly criticized them for bribing Trump with a $16 MILLION payout, are now seeking to gobble up another major media company. They’ve set their sights on Warner Brothers, which includes CNN — meaning their pro-Trump MAGA media empire would include a huge portion of major news outlets. It would be a disaster for the American people. Sign the petition and tell state attorneys general to BLOCK this merger!

The USA, today

The daily planet

experts:
Fragile health systems, roiling intrastate conflicts, and attacks on treatment facilities have compounded the challenge of containing the virus. The new strain has also exposed health experts’ lack of preparedness for Ebola variants other than the common Zaire one. “Because of its rarity, [the Bundibugyo strain] just wasn’t on anybody’s radar,” a researcher told Bloomberg.

Hope...
