Donald Trump has effectively gutted the U.S. Forest Service — the federal agency responsible for stewarding almost 900 million acres of wilderness across our country.

His “restructure” of the agency announced last week entails shutting down critical research stations, slashing staff, and sending headquarters out of Washington, D.C.

It’s a handout to Big Oil, logging giants, and other corporate polluters eager to strip our forests for profit.
