This edition has four resistance wins that corporate media buried or sanewashed. It also has a personal story—about a decade-long accountability fight with former GOP Rep. Devin Nunes, that took a very satisfying turn this week.

I’ve never backed down from Trump or his cronies. Not once. Not when they came after us, not when it would’ve been easier to look away.

The fight against Trump continues, and we need 30 paid subscribers to join our campaign to flip Congress. We have no ads, no corporate influence—and I’m offering you half off today:

I’ve been fighting Trump since 2016—and his lapdog Devin Nunes was one of his most dangerous cronies who I took on for years.

Nunes ran Trump Media into a $712 million hole—and I have the receipts. Hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack this edition right now—let’s make sure everyone sees them.

NUNES OUT AT TRUMP MEDIA

Former GOP Rep. Devin Nunes and I go way back. In 2017, I investigated him and filed ethics complaints that helped force him off the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation.

When he tried to ignore my calls to resign, I put up a billboard near his Visalia, California, congressional office that read: “Hold a town hall. Let’s talk about Russia.” He never did hold that town hall.

Nunes eventually resigned in disgrace back in 2022, and took on a consolation prize running “Truth” Social—Trump’s answer to every other social media platform that insisted on fact-checking him. Here’s how that worked out.

Trump Media posted a $712 million loss against $3.7 million in revenue. For every dollar they made, they lost $192. The stock is down around 67% since Trump’s reelection, wiping out more than $6 billion in market value. This week Nunes left his role at Trump Media—no goodbye, no graceful exit. Just gone.

He’s now shifting his focus to his role as Chairman of Trump’s Intelligence Advisory Board. There has never been a more ironic name.

DELAWARE JUST DARED TRUMP TO TRY IT

Delaware Governor Matt Meyer — April 22, 2026

The Trump regime has been explicit: it wants federal control over state-run elections. Delaware Gov. Matt Meyer heard that and signed an executive order Wednesday creating the Delaware Task Force on Free, Fair, and Secure Elections. Then he explained exactly who he’s building it for.

“The US Constitution is clear: elections are run by the states, not the federal government,” Meyer said. “If the federal government tries to hijack the will of the people, we will be ready.” That’s not hyperbole—it’s a governor reading the room and drawing a hard line before the regime crosses it.

Secretary of State Charuni Patibanda-Sanchez named the threat directly: “We’re working closely with communities across the state to protect the most fundamental right we have—the right to vote—and to make sure every voice is heard and respected.”

The regime wants to own your vote. Delaware just said not here, not ever.

COMMUNITY SAYS NO TO CBP JOB FAIR

Amada Armenta, director of UCLA’s Latino Policy and Politics Institute

Moreno Valley, California, has a majority Latino population. So Customs and Border Protection (CBP) figured this would be the perfect place to have a job fair earlier this month. Then word got out, and it wasn’t taken kindly.

Local organizers got to work—mobilizing folks to flood the venue with calls and emails voicing their opposition. When CBP saw the massive backlash, they put out a statement canceling the event altogether.

This is how the regime’s recruitment machine works. Amada Armenta, director of UCLA’s Latino Policy and Politics Institute, laid out the strategy: “Latinos are drawn into these jobs because in some regions, they are the best jobs there are. These are high-paying jobs that offer an entry into the middle class.”

Moreno Valley Mayor Ulises Cabrera thanked residents for fighting back. As an organizer put it: “These agencies are responsible for tearing families apart, targeting our neighbors, and enforcing a system built on fear and displacement.”

Moreno Valley said no—and CBP blinked.

AN INDIANA COUNTY MAKES IT PERMANENT

Marshall County Commissioner Jesse Bohannon (Center)

Data centers are massive facilities that drain millions of gallons of water, spike utility bills, and deliver almost no permanent jobs. They’ve been spreading across the country as Big Tech tries to plant them anywhere it pleases. Marshall County, Indiana, just shot that down—forever.

While we’ve seen other communities pass temporary moratoriums, Marshall County Commissioners voted Monday to make their ban on data centers permanent—effective immediately. No expiration date. No loophole. Done.

Commissioner Jesse Bohannon laid it out: “People have been coming in—trying to put in data centers, and battery energy storage, and farm-scale solar. We’ve been working for the last year and a half to make sure we have the right protections in place.”

Trump opened the door for Big Tech’s unchecked expansion—Marshall County just closed it for good.

THE BOTTOM LINE

The regime is losing to people it never saw coming—and that’s exactly how we’re going to win big in the midterms.

We built this operation in early 2016. After a decade of taking on Trump, there’s no way we’re stopping our work now. But we need all hands on deck.

Everything we do runs on support from our readers, with no corporate influence. So if you’re not yet a paid subscriber, help us flip Congress in November by joining us as a paid subscriber today:

Hit the ❤️ like button and re-stack now—the regime is counting on you not sharing these stories. Let’s ruin their Saturday.

Onward!

Scott

What do you think about the Devin Nunes story?

Thoughts on Marshall County permanently banning data centers?

NEW: Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have announced the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Data Center Moratorium Act, legislation that would enact a reasonable pause to the development of AI to ensure the safety of humanity.

JUST A FEW OF MANY COMMENTS:

These stories aren’t just wins—they’re proof that regular people and courageous leaders are refusing to yield an inch. The resistance is firing on all cylinders, and it’s beautiful to watch.

Recharge hard this weekend, stay connected to what matters, and come back Monday ready to build on this momentum. 🔥

I would point out that AI is a step along the path to autonomous robots both of which need to be delineated in Human Law. We cannot just allow the Tech Bros to impose this on society for their own gain and power. We need to dust off Isaac Asimov's 3 Laws of Robotics, add a few things. and rein these guys in.

It's mostly local people who haven't much power fighting back with what power they have.

Definitely recharging this weekend... and then,

Onward!!!!

That billboard was brilliant, Scott. You’ve been at this awhile with Nunes and glad you kept up the pressure. I thought he was put out to pasture with his cows many moons ago. I told him to mooooove over.

HHAHAHAHAHA he thought I was the cow the entire time, I never was

Well ol’ Devin did have a cow about those ads. Too funny

Completely agree and wonder why we aren’t seeing the billboard strategy employed everywhere. I have some great ideas for billboards but just have never been able to generate any interest on this site or anywhere else. I don’t even get a heart from Scott. How about one in every red community featuring Trump thanking them for making him and his family richer by the hour, or a direct-mail piece.

Stadium flyovers of football stadiums too, or just ads in the paper for heavens sake. We get no new ideas or inspiration from DNC on this score. Sometimes I think the whole thing is a money grab on both sides .

Steve Schmidt at The Warning may be doing something like this with his Save America Movement. I know they've plastered DC with posters mocking some of dump's lackeys, and they have their liberty vans, although I think the latter are for filming ICE harassment. I sort of remember a billboard truck they did for something somewhere.

There are too many diverse groups organizing their PROTESTS on line that are being ignored by CORPORATE MEDIA, but posted ON LINE.

There's a PROTEST today and one MAY 1ST!

Trump et al notice them more than a FLY OVER or BILLBOARD he can ignore.

Trump has been BOOED in public events and they just cut out the BOOING.

NO KINGS protests gathered a great deal of attention due to widespread protests and a lot of people.

It's important to consider the impact of actions - do they change people's minds?

I've done VOTER CANVASSING in REPUBLICAN areas and although TRUMP/MAGA support may be diminishing  due to economic impacts, there are some who will never surrender their dedication to the CULT.

Communities oppose DATA CENTERS and ICE GESTAPO DETENTION CENTERS, but have they abandon TRUMP/MAGA?

I did voter canvassing to defeat a corrupt Republican, targeted REPUBLICAN homes and the universal response was 'WE ONLY VOTE FOR REPUBLICANS!'

Devin Nunes, the stupid and corruption continues

More localities need to permanently ban data centers, ICE detention centers , battery facilities…

Learn from those who are doing this!!

I love your wording--"people they never saw coming" that are fighting back.

We’re really getting to it now. It’s awful, dirty, exhausting work but we need to keep at it - fighting fascism in our country. We need to get to the election in November in a a strong and confident position. And we will.

I know the professionals need to couch their enthusiasm for what democrats can achieve in the midterms. I don’t need to. We’re pretty much going to take the House by large margins. They can’t recover from their abuses to make even a small competitive race for the House. That’s over in my view.

The real story is the Senate. I’m not a journalist of any sort but I have a brain and can read a room. The Senate is pretty much lost for them too. The only question in my view is by how many seats. Our base is about 52 by my count at the moment. But I’m thinking a more realistic count would be 55-57 seats by Dems.

Don’t sleep on that. Look at all the states, read the room, do the math. I’m not wish casting, I’m simply looking at all the polls. And this very important fact: The natives are extremely restless. We need to have a plan for what we’ll do with some power when we get it.

And we need to keep working together. Don’t ever stop working. It will be worth it!

As always, thank you Scott for your daily positive boosts to all of us. It does the heart good.

It's my daily contribution to help offset the darkness. I've been writing one a day for the past year and a half.

Thanks for the shout out to the IE. That's Southern California's Inland Empire, which covers Riverside and San Bernadino counties and some people include the eastern edge of Los Angeles County. The area has been purple (Dem and GOP) for decades but is starting to realize that community "trumps" Trump.

Nunez is a prime example of everything that is wrong with MAGA leadership. That is the point, actually. There is no leadership. They are a reckless band of ruthless bandits. No ethics. No morals. Corrupt. Destructive.

We should all support the banning of AI centers until there is international consensus on rules with parameters. Humanity is at stake. Years ago, my husband, who worked for a major technological company, was on an international committee that set standards for the internet. We need that for AI. Until then, we need to shut down any further expansion or development. We also need to research what is currently happening and restrain what is in existence. This must be done order to protect humanity’s existence.

One of the cleverest ad campaigns using a billboard truck occurred here in Charlotte during Covid shortly after the vaccines came out. It went viral. Here's a brief write up about it that I was able to pull up with Google:

Maine Gov. Mills vetoes data center moratorium bill

excerpt:

“After prior redevelopment efforts failed, the Town of Jay worked for two years on a $550 million data center redevelopment project to finally bring jobs and investment back to the mill site,” Mills wrote, adding that she would issue an executive order establishing a council to examine the impact of data centers in Maine.

DEVIN NUNES?

SCOTT, You're talking LOGIC and FACTS, don't ignore NUNES' lawsuits - who else ever SUED A COW? Claimed the 'family farm' was in CALIFORNIA, except it was in IOWA and hired 'illegal immigrants.'

Judge Dismisses Nunes’ Lawsuit Over Iowa Farm Story in Esquire

excerpts:

Nunes in the latest lawsuit repeatedly refers to the Esquire story by Lizza, entitled “Devin Nunes’s Family Farm Is Hiding a Politically Explosive Secret” as a “hit piece.”

Lizza, the chief Washington correspondent for Politico, wrote the story after traveling in August 2018 to Sibley, Iowa, a small farming community 170 miles northwest of Des Moines. The story focused on Nunes’ parents, brother and other family members who have lived and operated a family dairy farm there for more than a decade even though Nunes continued to tout his deep roots around his family’s Tulare, California, dairy farms.

Lizza claims Nunes and his family kept their move from California to Iowa a secret. The story also delves into the sensitive issue of immigrants living illegally in Iowa and working at the state’s dairy farms.

Nunes also sued Twitter last year alleging defamation and negligence for two anonymous parody accounts, “Devin Nunes’ Mom” and “Devin Nunes’ Cow.” That lawsuit was dismissed in June by a circuit judge in Virginia who ruled Twitter is not liable for allegedly slanderous tweets about Nunes that were posted anonymously.
