How do you build an authoritarian detention network without the pesky interference of local mayors, environmental reviews, or angry taxpayers? You use a Department of Defense contracting vehicle to bypass them entirely. The administration is using a military program called WEXMAC TITUS to rapidly award hundreds of millions of dollars to private contractors to build their mega-prisons. Sunday morning, they used it to greenlight two major facilities: one in Hagerstown, Maryland, and the $313.4 million site in Surprise, Arizona. That is exactly why Operation Liberty is heading to Surprise. When the administration tries to use military contracting loopholes to operate in the shadows, we bring a blinding national spotlight. Our Liberty Vans are rolling into Arizona to flood the zone. We are linking up with local organizers, faith leaders, and veterans to provide the tactical, on-the-ground support they need to create unavoidable, real-world friction. Our job is to make it politically toxic for anyone—from the local Republican congressmen to the corporate executives at GardaWorld—to be associated with this facility. We can stop them, but we cannot keep our Liberty Vans fueled, our cameras rolling, and our teams on the ground without hitting our weekend fundraising target tonight. Rush a donation to help us deploy our Liberty Vans to Surprise, Arizona!
They want us exhausted. Instead, we are showing up at their construction sites. Stand with us. Steve Schmidt Save America Movement
