Walz Demands Trump’s Medical Records and The Regime Collapses As Mark Kelly Calls Out Hegseth’s Heinous Acts and Noem Admits To Breaking The Law, While More Cities Reject ICE

We shatter maga propaganda here

Happy Monday to you! Thanks for being here.

Before we jump into today’s news brief, I just wanted to thank you for supporting our independent journalism and organizing. All of our work is 100% people-powered, which means we never run any ads or bow to corporate influence. So if you haven’t yet, help fuel our fight against the Trump regime by becoming a paid subscriber today:

KELLY KEEPS GOING

Dem Sen. Mark Kelly is fighting back and flooding the zone, while the Trump regime continues to frivolously attack him for saying troops should not carry out illegal orders.

During an interview aired yesterday, Kelly said that if such orders are given to troops, “not only do they not have to follow them, they are legally required not to follow them.” And slamming Hegseth’s reported boat attack, Kelly said: “Going after survivors in the water; that is clearly not lawful,” adding that it “seems” like a war crime.

NOEM ON HOT SEAT

Kristi Noem was apparently tired of letting Hegseth get all the attention for failing miserably, so she made some appearances on Sunday news shows to remind everyone just how terrible she really is.

When asked about the individual arrested for murdering the National Guard member in DC—who was granted asylum under the Trump regime—Noem repeatedly tried to blame the Biden administration. Which of course makes no sense.

Reporters from NBC and ABC pushed back hard, with one asking Noem: “Are you saying you did no vetting before granting him asylum?” Notice they didn’t ask if she granted him asylum, because that’s already a fact.

Noem also admitted she was the one who defied a court order to halt deportation flights to El Salvador, while somehow trying to pretend that she didn’t. Calling it a “radical” decision from an “activist judge,” Noem said the order had “no standing and no grounds,” as if it could be ignored. That’s not how a judge’s ruling works. That’s not how any of this works.

PUSH FOR CANCELING ICE CONTRACTS

Pressure on cities not to take part in the Trump regime’s immigration abuses continues to spread throughout the country. Council meetings in Hillsboro, Oregon, Hamilton, Ohio, and elsewhere are being filled to the brim with folks speaking out against cities partnering with ICE.

And some have gone even further. Alexandria, Virginia’s Mayor and City Council asked the sheriff to stop voluntarily transferring any inmates to ICE. In Pennsylvania, the Doylestown Borough Council unanimously passed a resolution to stop sharing information with ICE, as Montclair, New Jersey, Providence, Rhode Island, and others have taken similar actions.

It’s great to see public pressure breaking through, and communities fighting back against this out-of-control regime.

WALZ WON’T QUIT

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz continued to demand Trump’s medical records over the weekend, stating: “We got a guy on Thanksgiving where we spent time with our families, we ate, we played Yahtzee, we cheered for football.” While Trump’s Thanksgiving consisted of him being “in a room ranting. This is not normal behavior. It’s not healthy ... has anyone in the history of the world ever had an MRI and had no idea what it was for?”

Separately, Walz called out two GOP Reps. who are no longer seeking re-election in districts where he’s recently held town halls. “When Republican Congressmen are scared to face their constituents,” Walz said, “we show up in their districts to lend a megaphone to the people. You can feel the energy for change—and now the tides are turning.”

That tide is turning due to the resistance, which is the heartbeat of this daily news brief and all the work we do. The Dworkin Report is the antidote to a broken corporate media system that’s too afraid to tell the truth about Trump.

We reject that old model completely. Instead, we rely on a relentless strategy of truth-telling, combined with our enormous social media presence to deliver tangible results every day. Our activism arm—The Watchdog Coalition—has generated billions of impressions online, and over half a million direct contacts to Congress.

We are doing the work that big networks will never do. But because we refuse corporate influence, we keep the lights on thanks to the support of our community here on Substack. So if you haven’t yet, please become a paid subscriber today:

Though they’ll try, this regime can’t hide from the truth forever.

Bringing a sledgehammer is right. Great work, sir.

Ice is slippery. Be careful not to fall.

I think it's great they aren't helping ice.

Noem is worse unless Hegsbreath has shot pets. Wait...he shot people!

They are both evil, pretending to be human.🤬

Hey Scott, I don't think I've told you thank you in a while. Thank you for uplifting post. Keep up the good work. I look forward to reading them daily.

I agree. And I appreciate covering up Trump's face.

It’s pretty much a toss up between Noem and Heg - both evil. But somehow I can’t get beyond Noem’s empty eyes and ice-cold attitude. (No pun intended, really.) She proudly displays the blackness of her soul. I can’t imagine being in the same room with her. I imagine it would feel dark and oppressive.

Do you remember the Christmas picture she sent out a couple of years ago? Her whole family holding assault rifles, including the little kids. I have no doubt she would shoot me between the eyes in a heartbeat. So yes, it’s a tie.

How about people who shoot puppy-dogs? It occurs to me and maybe not only me that the Trump-Hegseth crew are madly trying to start a war. I think it is the greatest insanity! I lived through a few wars and I know war is the greatest human insanity. We do not want war.

They are totally trying to start a war. And no one is taking the bait.

I, personally, think the recent NG shooting is somehow tied to their plot to start a civil war. Diversion, diversion, subversion.

I'm glad to see local governments resisting ICE. The more, the merrier. I'm sure this will have some impact too on people who might consider going to work for ICE--seeing their local communities rejecting it tells them that joining ICE is not supported or wanted in their towns.

You can smell change in the air and I enjoy watching Trump’s desires of being crowned King fail like everything else he does. 2028 cannot get here soon enough. I am ready to watch wall-to-wall coverage of the criminal prosecutions of the Trump Crime Cabinet (TCC).

The 2026 elections can't get here soon enough - IF we do what we need to do to prevent them from being hacked, as 2024 so glaringly obviously was.

Rambo Kegsbreath AND EVERYONE up and down the Defense Department Chain-of-Command - from POTUS to whomever ‘pulled the trigger’ ARE MASS MURDERERS.

No Declaration of War exists.

The boat people, if indeed they were transporting illegal drugs, were transporting PRODUCTS THAT MILLIONS OF AMERICANS PURCHASE, WILLINGLY.

ZERO evidence exists that they were ‘terrorists’ and, even if they were, they were far from US Territorial waters and could just as easily been contained instead of being MURDERED.

Period.

Local grass movements are another tool to use to win against this regime! Noem and Hegseth are equally bad for this country and Noem should be held in contempt for intentionally not following the court’s ruling and Hegseth should be tried for murder and/or breaking international law … I’m so ashamed of our government’s law-breaking, reckless decisions …😔 Thank you, Scott, for your great reporting!

You know my son told me I need to be careful with what I say on the internet - so here goes - What do you think about local governments choosing not to cooperate with ICE due to massive public pressure? It's about time and I wish every single community would do so. ICE is using illegal bully methods and they need to be stopped. I would be attending those town hall meetings to stop ICE.

Who do you think is worse—Noem or Hegseth? And why? This is a really difficult question. The dog killer or the drunkard? Pouty lips or slick hair? I give up - they are both equally horrible. for disobeying the law, the Constitution, judges, honesty, integrity, and the list can go on.

I don't think I made my son happy.

Good post.

I hope your son doesn't turn you in.

Re Trump’s multi-billion-dollar budget for expanding ICE and building his own private army and secret police/gestapo, what’s the latest info on this? Or do we know absolutely nothing about it?

That is an impossible task. I’ll use them as bookends. And buy them a one way ticket to visit their best friend. The devil

TRump's Clown Car Cabinet rides again! This group of people are beyond despicable. They're TRAITORS. The trials will be fun!

I hope they ALL get what's coming to them!!!!!

That’s a tough choice. They are both terrible.

Noem and Hegseth are equally evil and both are responsible for deaths of people not proven to be guilty of anything.

Cities refusing to aid ICE is very welcome, even if it is late in coming. They are joining the Resistance, and that is a really welcome change.

Scott, once again I want to thank you for these positive news briefs. Sometimes I sink into despair over what is happening to our country. However, your news briefs lift me up and the darkness recedes.

Hegseth is more dangerous. His preoccupation with his self image is putting the US and the military in harm's way. Moving ships and troops in plain sight gives enemies the power of knowledge. His ego is insatiable - he is deploying the military machine like they are personal Legos. - he's an empty suit.

Thank you for your focus on positive aspects of the news. It’s very encouraging and uplifting.

1. I believe cities NOT complying/aiding with ICE is setting the precedent for ALL cities to follow. I hope this is contagious!

2. Hegseth & Noem are both horrible and in positions to kill or harm people. They’re both equally dangerous.

Thank you for your focus on positive aspects of the news. It’s very encouraging and uplifting.

They are both hideous. Would love to see them both jailed.

Even though things are looking up, we can’t assume victories in ‘26 and ‘28. We have to stay on top of , and ahead of all their voter suppression and interference.

I stand up and cheer for those cities who have finally stepped up! May there be many more until we stop this corrupt regime's use of armed thugs grabbing our citizens and in some cases "disappearing" them! As for Hogsbreath and None, on a scale of 1-10 about who is worse I would give them both, using the orange man's math, -1,000% and more! It is my fervent hope that Hogsbreath will have to answer for the murders of those survivors from the bombed boat. He absolutely must be held accountable. As for None, I want her brought up on charges of defying a judge's order. Also, I will never forgive her for shooting her dog and goat. They are both horrific people! I want to also give applause to Sen. Kelly for continuing to stand up for what is right. My sister is a veteran and she told me they are taught about illegal orders. Sen. Kelly did nothing wrong reminding our military they are legally required not to follow illegal orders. Killing those survivors hanging on to pieces of the boat that was blown up is definitely an illegal order they should not have followed. Great news, Scott! Enjoyed the read! Keep fighting, America! We are getting there! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER SURRENDER! Stay strong and stay safe!

Glad to see local authorities pushing back!! Bravo Mark Kelly!! Who’s worse, Noem or Hegseth? Noem. Hegseth is a useful idiot. So is Noem but she’s also downright cruel.

A. It's a wonderful thing seeing local governments standing up against the fascist regime currently residing in Washington. I'm hoping more and more communities follow suit.

B. Conundrum time. While there might in fact be 256 shades of grey I believe there to only be one shade of black which by definition is the absence of light. Noem and Hegseth have not an iota of light within their souls. Hearts filled with darkness like tar. There's a special place for the likes of them. I asume they are not familiar with Dante.

1. All politics is local. You have a blood red district or a sea blue district, and your local councils reflect that. If every city stands up and speaks out against ICE, we’ll have a purple meeting in the middle! That would be great!

2. Both are evil. There is no devil better or worse than the other.

Go Tim Waltz!! Keep harassing Trump, you’ve managed to hit a nerve in him that won’t stop firing. I wish all cities would stop cooperating with ICE. Their soulless, vicious attacks on mostly innocent people (meaning having committed no crime except maybe wanting a chance at a better life and getting away from vicious gangs,) without having the courage to show their faces (not to mention separating kids from parents) demeans everyone in this country. And as far as who’s worse— Hegseth or Noem (never trust a woman with silicone in her lips, what’s she trying to prove?). It depends on the day. The day she shot an innocent dog and goat damned her to hell for me, but Hegseth is moving ahead in the damned category, killing innocent people—and what evidence do they have that any of those boats were running drugs, Daddy T just wants Venezuela’s oil. At this point, damn them both to hell and let the devil make the choice. I have a feeling he’ll take both of them.

I think Noem is worse, and this is why. She has a long history of sociopathic cruelty and brags about it. The dog. The goat. Her pride of being tough and decisive. Her pride in being cruel to the immigrants sent illegally to a foreign prison. The men were in an over crowded cell, resting on stacked bunks wearing white t-shirts and shorts. She ordered them to strip off the shirts and line up behind her for for a photograph. She is evil and cruel. Pete Kegseth is merely a dry drunk ass licker.

Sen. Kelly said an attack on the 2 survivors in the water might be a war crime, but I guess that’s during a war. Otherwise it is an actual double murder!

You’re right about a double murder but they could very well be starting a war. That too should be a war crime

"What do you think about local governments choosing not to cooperate with ICE due to massive public pressure?"

Spread the ICE-melting strategies until they become the national standard.

"Who do you think is worse—Noem or Hegseth? And why?"

Seeing as how we likely don't know each violation committed by either, the jury is still out...

All (Noem, Hegsworthless to drump himself) are a basket of deplorables.

CREDIT CARD DEBT IS EXPLODING!

Here's an excerpt:

The Polymarket odds are severely stacked against my personal pick to be the next Fed chair. Kevin Hassett, the head of the National Economic Council is leading with a 71% chance. My guy Stephen Miran is sitting at a dismal 1%, barely edging out Barron Trump. This lightweight who predicted in May of 2020 that COVID deaths would reach zero by the end of the month and said Brexit was a great idea is somehow smoking the guy who is already a board governor, has been making the rounds on any talk show that will take him, wrote the white paper that designed Trump’s entire tariff agenda and another detailing how to quite literally dismantle the Fed and put it under the exclusive authority of the president.

Who am I to argue with Polymarket?

Even nuttier is the fact that Trump would have to replace Miran with Hassett because it’s the only position that will theoretically be available since Trump’s gambit to fire Dr. Lisa Cook was struck down by the courts.

I’ve paid about as much attention to Hassett as I have to Howard Nutlick Lutnick and Peter Navarro because Lutnick is an apologist and a grifter, and Navarro used to source an economist named Ron Vara in his writings (which is an anagram of his last name).

So I’ve been watching Hassett with greater scrutiny of late, which is why I was keen to see him spin holiday sales on Face the Nation over the weekend. The White House has been trotting him out to tell the American public that these aren’t the droids they’re looking for when staring at grocery bills and gas prices. In fact the lazy news media was filled with the same talking points over the weekend that Black Friday sales set a record and the consumer is back, baby! Perhaps you’ve heard the same spin. Here’s what it looks like:

Black Friday sales hit a whopping $11.8 billion, which is up 3% to 4% over last year. And online sales were actually up 8% to 9% according to multiple sources that were echoed from Forbes to Bloomberg to CBS. The coverage is nearly identical across mainstream sources, which is par for the course in our topical news feed. The only alternative headline that got as much attention was the 800% increase in AI driven online sales, which means consumers are taking to ChatGPT and Gemini among others to scour the internet for the best holiday shopping deals. I sense a cottage industry in the making fake-training LLMs on shopping deals.

As usual, the more interesting story is just below the surface. In-store traffic was reportedly down 3.6%, prices were 7% higher and total volume was down 1%. CNN at least did some math to note that the upper end of the K-Shaped economy was responsible for driving much of the demand for higher priced goods. In other words, sales were down because of inflation.

Everything we buy these days is on credit. That’s just how it is. Third quarter credit card balances surged again to an all time high of $1.23 trillion so there’s little doubt that Q4 figures will continue on the same trajectory.

And yet there was Kevin Hassett, the mouthpiece of the moment in full audition mode for the top banking job in the world telling us that the price of groceries are down and in some states even gas prices are starting to fall. He even went so far as to say that the reason Black Friday sales were so great is because “people feel like they have more money in their pockets.”

You wouldn’t let this man run a local credit union let alone the Federal Reserve. But here we are.
