Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick went on Fox News and claimed that 4.3 percent GDP growth means Americans are earning 4.3 percent more. However, GDP measures total economic output, not wages or household income, and gains are often concentrated at the top. Presenting this as if everyone benefits equally misleads the public, and Lutnick got no pushback from the Fox host, Kellyanne Conway.

Stephen Miller confidently spreads falsehoods about Trump’s economic record, inflation, and Biden-era policies. He blames Biden for inflation, and rewrites the history of COVID lockdowns. None of these claims hold up to fact-checking. His tactic relies on projecting outrage and confidence, making viewers accept statements without examining evidence.

House Speaker Mike Johnson warned Republicans that losing the House in 2026 could lead to Trump’s impeachment and “absolute chaos.” Being impeached by the House does not mean removal; conviction requires a Senate trial, where Trump’s removal is extremely unlikely given the current balance. Johnson’s warning functions as a fear tactic to motivate Trump supporters, but historical trends suggest Democrats should win in ‘26.

Officials like Interior Secretary Doug Burgum argue that wind energy is unreliable because it only generates power when the wind blows. However, modern grids combine diverse energy sources, storage, and demand management to maintain reliability. Wind reduces fuel use, cuts emissions, and saves money. Pauses on offshore wind are framed as national security concerns but reflect longstanding personal opposition to wind turbines by Trump, not actual risk.

A study by the Manhattan Institute shows disturbing beliefs among Republicans, including 2024 Trump voters. Over half believe the 2020 election was hacked. Large shares doubt the moon landing, downplay the Holocaust, and think vaccines cause autism. Significant portions normalize racism and anti-Semitism, and over half support Trump’s ineffective tariffs.

Finally, Tucker Carlson described being attacked by a literal demon while sleeping. He presented this as real, not metaphorical. This reflects a broader epistemic breakdown where evidence-based thinking is abandoned in favor of conspiratorial and supernatural explanations.
