Hello Meidas Mighty. It’s Ben Meiselas, co-founder of the MeidasTouch Network. It’s been quite the interesting 48 hours. First we had Fox go after us for the segments we did on Meidas Health about Trump’s deteriorating cognitive and physical health. Then we had Trump go after us for the interview we did with former Attorney General Holder. After the attack on us on his social media, Trump made unhinged posts every 10 seconds for a full hour. He then spent a considerable amount of time during a propaganda cabinet meeting yesterday falling asleep on camera.

Today, Admiral Frank Bradley is meeting with top Republicans and Democrats on the House and Senate Armed Services Committees to discuss what took place in waters outside of Venezuela, where survivors of a boat strike were killed by Navy SEAL Team Six. In my view, and that of most rational people, the entire operation is a war crime and a crime against humanity. I expect there to be major developments to report on soon.

As of this post, Trump’s attempt to influence the Honduran election may not have the outcome he wants. The candidate Trump is trying to install, Nasry Asfura, is trailing by about 9,100 votes to Salvador Nasralla. Trump officially pardoned Juan Orlando Hernández yesterday, the drug-trafficking former president of Honduras who was convicted in federal court in the United States and sentenced to 45 years. Hernández is from the same political party as Asfura, and the pardon was part of a larger plan to install a MAGA stooge in Honduras to build out the web of authoritarianism that Trump is trying to promote.

As part of promoting that authoritarianism, yesterday Trump sent envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow to meet with Yuri Ushakov and Putin, who they previously conspired with to try and force Ukraine into a surrender, which Ukraine resisted. To be clear, Russia does not want peace and it never wanted peace. Its only goal is the complete obliteration of Ukraine.

There has been a much bigger focus at the MeidasTouch Network on international affairs. The only way to understand Trump and the MAGA movement is to understand they are vessels of the same strand of authoritarianism we see in Putin and Orban and Bukele. Putin uses “denazification” as a pretext to invade Ukraine, and Trump uses “neutralizing narco-terrorists” as a pretext for invasion. Make no mistake: Trump views Canada and Greenland as Putin views Ukraine. Trump has moved on to Venezuela because it’s somewhat close to the United States, and Trump sees it as weak and with vast oil deposits to steal. If Trump actually cared about narco-terrorism, he wouldn’t have pardoned and released one of the top drug traffickers in history this week.

I also believe that a purpose of Trump escalating his pardons of the worst of the worst criminals is to try and condition the public to normalize the behavior for when he inevitably pardons Ghislaine Maxwell. And it should also be noted that much of Trump’s behavior has been to try and distract attention from the Epstein files, which by law must be turned over on December 19. I think we can all say with certainty that the full files will not be released on December 19, and the only question is which excuses will be raised then for not turning over the files.

With all of this taking place, the MeidasTouch Network has continued to lead the way for independent news in reporting on these developments.
