Calling all puzzlers, join up for a team puzzle-competition in Middleboro

MIDDLEBORO — Puzzle-lovers can piece together a team and compete against the clock in a puzzle-off competition this month.
The competition will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Harper Lane Brewery, at 16 Wareham St., in Middleboro. The competition will use the newly created Town of Middleboro Puzzle, a 500-piece puzzle that showcases town.
The puzzle was created by the Middleboro Planning and Community Development Department, and all of the money raised from its $25 price-tag directly fund events and programs of the department.
At the puzzle competition, teams must pay $25 to take part and can keep the puzzle after the event. Teams consist of two to four people, and will race to complete all 500-pieces within two hours.
To purchase the puzzle, those interested can buy one at the competition or by visiting the Planning and Community Development Department with a check made payable to the “Town of Middleborough” or the exact cash amount.
The winning team will receive a $25 gift card for the brewery, and another $25 gift card for Middleboro restaurant Homerootts Bistro. The second place winner will receive a beer glass for each team member.
