My Response to Rupert Murdoch…By Ben Meiselas I delivered a very simple response to Rupert Murdoch today: Hey Rupert… Fox can try and threaten us and bully us, but at the end of the day, the numbers speak for themselves. Wasn’t that always your philosophy, Rupert? It’s all about the ratings? Well, I have a different philosophy, Rupert. My philosophy is, it’s all about democracy. It’s all about our Constitution. It’s all about community. It’s all about making the world a better place. And yes, the ratings do matter. But we shouldn’t chase ratings. We should fight for the people, defend and protect the dignity of every human being, and support our democracy. But let’s talk about ratings, Rupert, shall we? The latest charts are in from Podscribe for audio podcasts and Playboard for YouTube video views and engagement. The latest Podscribe data shows that not only is the MeidasTouch Podcast the most downloaded audio podcast in America, but the MeidasTouch Network is the most listened-to audio network for all of its shows—exceeding Spotify, SiriusXM, iHeart, and all other audio networks, including yours, Rupert.
How about video, Rupert? Well, MeidasTouch has been beating Fox every single day in digital video views under Playboard’s independent data metrics. The data speaks for itself, Rupert.
