Will you help expose #Trumpflation?

MomsRising.org

Where moms and people who love them go to change our world

Can you help us keep the #TRUMPFLATION MOMentum going? Unbelievably, we together made over half a BILLION impressions on social media recently about the rising costs that families are facing. Now we need to keep the spotlight on the high costs we’re seeing on price tags to help get to solutions.

THE PROJECT FOR ME, YOU, AND US to do this week, and in coming weeks.

  1. Take a picture of a price tag in a grocery store, pharmacy, coffee shop, or on a bill that comes in your mail box as a healthcare cost, or other cost that makes you gasp.

Know you’re not alone in feeling alarmed about rising costs: Vegetable prices are up 40%, coffee is up 33%, washing machines are up 12%, and healthcare costs for many are about to sky rocket because Republicans in Congress just made massive cuts – and they are poised to do even more cuts.

  2. Then… Post the picture of a price tag on any of your social media platforms with #Trumpflation in your content. Tag @MomsRising also to make it easier for us to find. (Bonus ... tag your member of Congress!)

This is big. If enough of us speak out about rising prices, then we’ll be able to more quickly pass policies to lower costs.

Also WE are big! Earlier this month we trended nationwide for more than 4 hours, reached nearly 60 million people, and made well over half a billion (yes, half a BILLION) impressions with #Trumpflation!!! We also had MANY elected leaders who are champions for families join with us on social media too!

Numbers don’t lie. We’re powerful together.

Now we need to double down on changing the national narrative and showcasing the truth about rising costs. We have the MOMentum, let’s make it a tsunami of change.

It’s easy. Just take a picture of a price tag that makes you frown—and then post that picture online with the #Trumpflation hashtag to be part of a wave of much-needed change.

Thank you for fighting for moms and families with us!

P.S. How did we get here? Kathryn Anne Edwards, PhD, breaks it down in a new blog post and on the radio show. “Economics is hard and complicated, but we all live and depend on this economy, which means we all have the right to understand what’s going on.”
