In one home they installed REINFORCED ALUMINUM on the roof rafters & no attic changes in the other house. Significant savings with just the REINFORCED ALUMINUM! Years ago, someone suggested using REINFORCED ALUMINUM behind BASE BOARD HEAT to direct the WARM AIR into the room rather than up the wall - we bought a ROLL & found that he was correct & it made a big difference.
