This country used to mean something.
"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" — remember that?
That promise brought my ancestors here. It brought yours too, I bet.
But under Donald Trump, we’re not a refuge anymore. We’re a threat.
A place where families fleeing Russian missiles are told to pack up and get out — because they’re not white enough, rich enough, or loyal enough to the orange-faced tyrant in Mar-a-Lago.
Trump is threatening to rip away legal protections from 280,000 Ukrainian refugees – mothers, children, and families – who came to this country the right way: legally, with U.S. sponsors, fully vetted, and already contributing through work and taxes.
And now, they’re staring down deportation, thanks to a broken system and a wannabe dictator who thinks cruelty makes him strong. |

Trump is a man so soulless, so devoid of empathy, that he’d rather impress Vladimir Putin than protect families rebuilding their lives in tiny towns across America.
While Trump and his goons blather on about how to “Make America Great Again,” these families are actually doing it.
They’re working jobs, filling schools, buying homes, starting businesses.
Their paychecks don’t go offshore — they go to local diners, Main Street shops, and union job sites.
And while Ukrainian moms are learning English at the library and dads are welding frames in factory yards, Trump’s out there selling out American prosperity one tantrum and tariff at a time.
He is a man so obsessed with power that he’s turning America into the kind of country people used to flee from.
I didn’t risk my life in combat to watch the American dream get bulldozed by some fast-food-fueled narcissist who thinks the Constitution is optional and compassion is weakness.
And Richard Hudson? He’s not just letting it happen — he’s paying for it.
As chair of the NRCC, he’s Trump’s checkbook. He bankrolls the cruelty, props up the cowards, and hides behind a flag pin on his lapel while families get thrown into chaos.
I’m not going to Congress to play nice.
I’m going to fight like hell for the real American values — courage, justice, and a country that stands up for the vulnerable.
Sappers clear the way, Airborne all the way!
