Patriots Stand Up To Wannabe-King and More Great News That's Bad For TrumpOnward!Happy Tuesday! Thanks for taking the time to read this edition of Great News. I’m glad you’re here. I hope the report below gives you a sense of relief, and reminds you that we are not alone in our fight against tyranny. I’m fired up, so let’s jump right in. Georgia’s GOP Gov. Brian Kemp has decided not to run against Dem Sen. Jon Ossoff next year. Republicans tried hard to court Kemp, and failed. A huge loss for Trump. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul didn’t take kindly to Trump questioning whether he actually has to follow the Constitution—as if it’s up for debate. Hochul responded: “It tells you all you need to know about this presidency and this man that he doesn't give a damn about the US Constitution.” Let’s be real—Trump has never cared about the Constitution, or the rule of law. Ever. More than 150 former judges sent a letter to the DoJ condemning the arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan in her courthouse, calling it “an embarrassing spectacle,” and saying Trump’s “cynical effort undermines the rule of law.” The letter explains how it’s “another attempt to intimidate and threaten the judiciary, after a series of rulings by judges appointed by presidents of both parties holding the Trump Administration accountable for its countless violations of the Constitution and the laws of the United States.” A Trump-appointed federal judge ruled that North Carolina must certify Allison Riggs as the state’s Supreme Court election winner. The Republican in the race wanted to throw out countless votes, because he couldn’t win without cheating. This election is a clear reminder that every vote counts. Riggs won by a mere 734 votes out of the more than 5.5 million cast. We should never take our vote for granted. Eighteen states and DC have filed a lawsuit against the Trump regime for blocking wind energy projects. NY AG Letitia James, who is helping lead the lawsuit, blasted Trump, saying his move is “devastating” for the industry. And that it “threatens the loss of thousands of good-paying jobs and billions in investments.” The way Trump keeps firing Americans and harming our environment only helps his rich buddies, while hurting the rest of us. Trump is an abomination. An appeals court denied Trump’s attempt to strip legal status from 400,000 migrants—all who currently reside in the US. It ‘s another major loss for Trump. Karen Tumlin, a lawyer on the case, called the move “reckless and illegal.” No doubt, it’s both. Failed fmr. VP Mike Pence, who never really spoke out against Trump at a sustained level, just received the JFK Profile in Courage Award for doing his job on January 6th. I personally don’t believe people should applaud Pence for simply following the law. Let’s not forget: Pence will always be one of Trump’s biggest accomplices. That said, it is nice to see a Republican admit the truth about January 6th. Pence stated: “January 6 was a tragic day. But it became a triumph of freedom. And history will record that our institutions held.” Would be nice if Pence used his newfound “courage” to push Republicans to actually do their jobs. Following up on the town hall of GOP Rep. Mike Lawler, I wanted to note that social worker Emily Feiner was carried out of the event by state troopers—just for demanding an answer from her Congressman. It was a completely unnecessary and disgraceful move that Lawler could’ve stopped. Instead of defending his constituent, Lawler told the crowd to “behave.” I connected with Feiner who told me she was “encouraged and grateful by the outpouring of support by people from all over the country. I did nothing wrong … I responded to my Congressman's provocative, bullying, tactic of refusing to answer the questions … He was derisive to his constituents, treated us like children, and lied.” This should not be happening in America. The whole incident was horrific. Lawler should resign immediately. Since he won’t, let’s make sure he’s voted out next year. Lawyer Marc Elias spoke out on 60 Minutes during a segment covering Trump’s war on law firms and the legal profession. Elias didn’t hold back, saying Trump is “trying to intimidate them the way … a mob boss intimidates people in the neighborhood ... to either exact protection money from or engage in other nefarious conduct.” Spot on. Out of all the attorneys being targeted by Trump, Marc Elias was the only one willing to appear on 60 Minutes. This is the sort of courage we need from everyone right now—folks willing to speak loudly and firmly against this wannabe-king. It’s why I formed The Watchdog Coalition—which mobilizes our massive audience to help lead the opposition against the Trump regime. Since November, we’ve sent more than 290,000 letters, and made tens of thousands of calls to Congress. Our social media campaigns are unmatched, generating billions of impressions online to fight GOP cuts to Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and more. Momentum is on our side, but we need all hands on deck. We have no outside investors and remain ad-free, meaning 100% of our funding comes from our paid subscribers on Substack. So if you haven’t yet, please become one today: No matter how you subscribe, thank you for standing up for what’s right. Onward! Scott What do you think about Emily Feiner being carried out of GOP Rep. Lawler’s town hall? As always, I will try to reply to all comments! Don’t forget to like, re-stack, and share this post!
