Kamala Harris Comes Out Swinging and More Great News That’s Bad For TrumpFeaturing mass protests, NFL QB Jalen Hurts, push back from Greenland, and moreAs Trump continues to spiral into even more unhinged behavior, I’m glad to bring you some more great news today. Let’s get to it. Roughly a thousand pro-democracy protests are set to take place today across the country, calling out the tyrannical Trump regime, and putting a spotlight on their corruption. It’s no coincidence these protests fall on May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day—a time to celebrate the labor union movement worldwide. As always, we should stay vigilant and peaceful. If you can't attend a demonstration near you, be sure to amplify these events on social media. Let’s get loud! There are reminders all around America that when we speak out in unity, even maga Republicans can be forced to listen. Remember that bill in Tennessee—the one that could’ve removed undocumented students from schools? Thanks to intense public outrage, the attempt to pass the measure has been killed, at least until 2026. If it resurfaces, we’ll push back even harder—and they’ll lose again. Yesterday, a judge ordered the immediate release of Mohsen Madawi, the Columbia student detained by ICE at what was supposed to be a routine green card appointment. Walking out of the courthouse, Madawi said: “anybody who's doubting justice, this is a light of hope—a hope and faith in the justice system in America.” Then, with unshaken confidence, Madawi said these inspiring words that I will never forget: “To President Trump and his Cabinet, I am not afraid of you.” On the world stage, Greenland’s new prime minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen also stood strong against the Trump regime, saying his country “will never, ever be a piece of property that can be bought by just anyone.” Former Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a powerful speech last night at Emerge America, celebrating “Americans using their voice, and showing their courage,” over the last 14 weeks. “Courage is contagious,” Harris said. “The courage of Americans who are banding together in the face of the greatest man-made economic crisis in modern presidential history ... The courage of judges to uphold the rule of law in the face of those who would jail them. Of universities that are defying unconstitutional demands that threaten the pursuit of truth and academic independence.” Harris stressed how important our activism is, saying: “The one check, the one balance that must not fail, is the voice of the people.” The former VP’s closing words were a rallying cry for the resistance: “You are not alone … we are going to stand together … this country is ours, it doesn’t belong to whoever is in the White House. It belongs to you. It belongs to us. It belongs to ‘We The People.’” This is why we work so hard to cut through Trump’s lies and propaganda every single day—helping to lead a revolution in independent journalism.
