He wants to throw migrants out of helicopters

BECAUSE THIS IS SO SHOCKING, I EXPLORED A LITTLE....

AS ALWAYS, I BEGIN WITH THE PREMISE THAT IF REPUBLICANS

DON'T LIE, NO ONE WOULD VOTE FOR THEM....

MAGA MIKE COLLINS IS CLEARLY A HATE-FILLED BIGOT &

MUCH ELSE!

I ADDED SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION BELOW....MAGA

MIKE COLLINS IS NOT WORKING FOR HIS CONSTITUENTS!

Today marks the 101st day of Trump's second term.

So far we've seen green card holders deported to foreign torture prisons, the termination of 100k+ nonpartisan civil servants, and the elevation of white supremacists to the highest levels of power. Sadly, even bleaker stories await.

They seek to flood the zone hoping to shock us into submission with the sheer magnitude of their attack. How do we stand against such overwhelming odds?

Our only option is to fight fire with fire. We need to flood their zone.

If every single one of us does our part, everything in our power, we can throw sand into their gears and stop the machine. Imagine it, the power of hundreds of millions of Americans overwhelming them - documenting illegal ICE raids, whistleblowing, marching, voting, anything and everything in our power.

My contribution towards flooding the zone - running for Congress against a real life devil:

Alluding to Chilean Fascist Dictator Augusto Pinochet’s notorious ‘death flights’ where leftist dissidents would be thrown into the ocean from military helicopters, Congressman Collins, my opponent, suggested a migrant accused of a crime (not convicted) be killed in this fashion stating:

“We could buy him a ticket on Pinochet Air for a free helicopter ride back.”

And that's only the tip of the iceberg, he’s callously doubled down on pro-gun legislation in the aftermath of an in-district school shooting, calls out journalists for their Jewish heritage online, and works against his female, minority, and working class constituents every single day.

What makes me suited to take on and win against this vile man?

Georgia’s 10th congressional district, a massive swath of urban and rural land between Atlanta and Augusta, is my entire life, and I am ready to give everything I have towards fighting for the hard working decent people of Georgia’s 10th.

When I ran in 2024, we broke every Democratic fundraising and voter turnout record in Georgia’s 10th Congressional District. And we proved that our historically red district isn’t so red after all — and now, we’re back to finish what we started.

If we all start our own individual battles against MAGA, with whatever means are available to us, we overwhelm them, flood their zone, and paralyze their program. The people of GA-10 are opening up a front of our own in this fight - can we count on a donation of $50, $25, or even $5 to help us launch this campaign with momentum and some real firepower?

We have strength in numbers. Do your part. Flood the zone.

Georgia Rep. Mike Collins under fire again for controversial social media post

Republican Rep. Mike Collins, who represents Georgia's 10th congressional district, is facing criticism for a controversial post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

On Wednesday, Collins wrote, "You either die a Kennedy with a hole in the brain or live long enough to become a Kennedy with a hole in the brain." The post followed a New York Times article revealing that 70-year-old Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had said during his 2012 divorce proceedings that a brain abnormality seen on scans "was caused by a worm that got into my brain and ate a portion of it and then died." The post is a reference to Kennedy's father and uncle.

John F. Kennedy was assassinated by a gunshot to the head on November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas. Robert F. Kennedy was also shot in the head and back on June 6, 1968, at a Los Angeles hotel.

Collins’ post sparked strong reactions, including comments like, "Even when it seems impossible, this worthless garbage human being always finds a way to sink lower" and "My God, the entire @GOP is a disgrace and embarrassment to this country. You’re truly deplorable." Another user described the post as "the most disgraceful post I have ever seen from a sitting member of Congress. Absolutely ghoulish and repugnant."

Just a week ago, Collins shared a controversial video from a pro-Palestine protest at the University of Mississippi, captioning it "Ole Miss taking care of business." The video depicted dozens of white, male Ole Miss students taunting a Black woman during the protest.

After backlash, Collins responded that he didn't believe the racist behavior was "the focal point of the video," though he acknowledged some "potentially inappropriate behavior that none of us seek to glorify." He did not, however, remove the post.

In April, Collins posted "Not sure what y'all are doing up north, but we don't give them the time to encamp. Tazers set to stun!" in reference to the ongoing pro-Palestinian protests on university campuses.

In February, Collins posted that an undocumented immigrant accused of killing a University of Georgia student would make a "great first passenger for the new Pinochet Air," referring to the infamous "death flights" by the secret police of Chilean dictator Augusto Pinochet. Collins was responsible for introducing the Laken Riley Act, which requires U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to detain undocumented immigrants charged with theft.

The cities of Athens, Eatonton, Jackson, Miledgeville, Monroe, Washington, Watkinsville, Winder and Wrightsville make up the 10th congressional district in Georgia.

ONCE AGAIN FOX NEWS = FAKE NEWS LIARS:

 EXCERPTS:

A House Republican whose family found success in the trucking industry is voicing concerns about illegal immigrants working in the industry in the U.S.

Rep. Mike Collins, R-Ga., praised President Donald Trump’s executive order mandating English proficiency as a requirement for professional drivers in an interview with Fox News Digital.

It also comes as the REAL ID deadline fast approaches in the U.S. as the Trump administration finally seeks to impose the 20-year-old measure in a bid to crack down on illegal immigrants, including those who have been made eligible for driver’s licenses in blue states.

"Accident rates have gone up 75% because we have people that are driving trucks across this country, they can't read or speak English," Collins told Fox News Digital, noting he'd been in the trucking industry for 30 years.

WHERE'S THE PROOF? WHERE'S A STATISTICAL REPORT?

"I don't know how that makes sense … but thank goodness the president saw that when he signed an executive order."

In recent years, illegal immigrants have been able to obtain driver's licenses in 19 states and Washington, D.C., where they are issued regardless of immigration status.

Collins said it has had an effect on the trucking industry more widely, however.

 "It impacts the trucking industry because you got people that have no skin in the game, so to say. It doesn't matter if they get involved in an accident, what do they care? Because they're not here legally anyway. So, at worst-case scenario, they just lose the vehicle because they weren't even kicking them out," Collins said.

"Let's at least get these people off the road, make them stop driving and, oh, by the way, pack your bags and go home."

It's not clear how much REAL ID will help in the immediate future, considering states will be allowed to continue issuing non-REAL ID-compliant licenses alongside the new federal standard.

But the Trump administration is attempting to at least stop people who cross the border illegally from being able to get to Collins' home state of Georgia and others via airline travel.

Noncompliant state IDs will be banned from use on commercial flights and from entering federal buildings starting May 7.

"Under Biden, illegal aliens used non-compliant IDs from sanctuary cities to board flights, but REAL ID’s higher security standards make it nearly impossible to forge legitimate documents, ensuring only verified travelers can fly," the Department of Homeland Security said in a memo this month.

Truck Accident Statistics & Numbers For 2025

Truck-related incidents are responsible for a significant share of road traffic accidents. These larger vehicles, particularly semi-trucks and commercial trucks, can cause catastrophic damage due to their sheer size and weight.

Despite the efforts to enhance road safety, truck accidents continue to happen. This article explores the key statistics and insights about truck accidents in the United States in 2024, providing a comprehensive perspective of this ongoing issue.

excerpt:

Key Insights

  • An estimated 388,000 truck accidents are recorded each year in the US, making up about 6.5% of all reported vehicular collisions.
  • In 2023, about 70% of all passenger vehicle fatalities involved a large truck.
  • Large trucks account for approximately 11% of all motor vehicle crash deaths, with about 75% of these fatal truck accidents involving a collision with another vehicle.
  • Tire defects and driver fatigue are the two most significant causes of truck accidents.
  • In fatal truck accidents, 82% of victims were not the truck’s occupants.
  • Thursdays see the highest frequency of truck accidents, with 18% of all truck-related accidents occurring on this day in 2017.
  • In 2023, an average of 890 truckers died, translating to nearly three deaths daily.
  • Males, making up 97% of truck driver fatalities in 2018, are especially at risk due to longer hours and a higher presence in the industry.
  • From 2009 to 2017, the number of deaths in truck wrecks increased by 52%.
  • The states with the highest number of fatal truck accidents are Texas, California, and Florida.
  • The average cost of a commercial truck accident with an injury is $148,279, while the average fatal trucking accident costs a staggering $7.2 million.
  • About 48% of truck occupants involved in rollover crashes diea rate significantly higher than the 22% observed for car occupants in similar incidents.

2020 Fatality Data Show Increased Traffic Fatalities During Pandemic

Risky Driving Behaviors Including Failure to Wear a Seatbelt, Speeding, and Drinking While Driving Identified as Contributing Factors

 | Washington, DC

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration today released preliminary estimates of crash fatalities in 2020 involving motor vehicle occupants, motorcyclists, and people walking and biking.  Alongside the release of the 2020 fatality projections, Early Estimate of Motor Vehicle Traffic Fatalities in 2020, the agency issued two special reports, Early Estimates of Motor Vehicle Traffic Fatalities and Fatality Rate by Sub-Categories in 2020, and Update to Special Reports on Traffic Safety During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency: Fourth Quarter Data

While Americans drove less in 2020 due to the pandemic, NHTSA’s early estimates show that an estimated 38,680 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes—the largest projected number of fatalities since 2007. This represents an increase of about 7.2 percent as compared to the 36,096 fatalities reported in 2019. Preliminary data from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) shows vehicle miles traveled (VMT) in 2020 decreased by about 430.2 billion miles, or about a 13.2-percent decrease. The fatality rate for 2020 was 1.37 fatalities per 100 million VMT, up from 1.11 fatalities per 100 million VMT in 2019. NHTSA’s analysis shows that the main behaviors that drove this increase include: impaired driving, speeding and failure to wear a seat belt.

“Safety is the top priority for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Loss of life is unacceptable on our nation’s roadways and everyone has a role to play in ensuring that they are safe. We intend to use all available tools to reverse these trends and reduce traffic fatalities and injuries,” said Dr. Steven Cliff, NHTSA’s Acting Administrator. “The President’s American Jobs Plan would provide an additional $19 billion in vital funding to improve road safety for all users, including people walking and biking. It will increase funding for existing safety programs and allow for the creation of new ones, with a goal of saving lives.”

NHTSA’s projections show significant increases in fatalities during the third and fourth quarters of 2020 as compared to the corresponding quarters of 2019. NHTSA will continue to carefully analyze various data sources to understand how the risks to vulnerable road users might have changed during 2020 and the contributing factors for the increase.

Preliminary finding show that traffic fatalities rose in most major categories over 2019:

  • Passenger vehicle occupants (23,395, up 5%)
  • Pedestrians (6,236* flat from 2019)
  • Motorcyclists (5,458,* up 9%)
  • Pedalcyclists (people on bikes) (891,* up 5%)

Crash factors and demographics reviewed by NHTSA that showed the largest increases in 2020 as compared to 2019 included:

  • non-Hispanic Black people (up 23%);
  • occupant ejection (up 20%);
  • unrestrained occupants of passenger vehicles (up 15%);
  • on urban interstates (up 15%);
  • on urban local/collector roads (up 12%);
  • in speeding-related crashes (up 11%);
  • on rural local/collector roads (up 11%);
  • during nighttime (up 11%);
  • during the weekend (up 9%);
  • in rollover crashes (up 9%);
  • in single-vehicle crashes (up 9%) and;
  • in police-reported alcohol involvement crashes (up 9%).

There are a few categories that are projected to have decreases in fatalities in 2020. Fatalities in crashes involving a large truck (commercial or non-commercial use) are projected to decline marginally (down 2%).  Fatalities among older persons (65+ years of age) are projected to decline by about 9 percent.

Special Reports:

Last summer, recognizing the unique circumstances, NHTSA researchers began compiling additional data from a wide variety of sources to enhance understanding of what was happening on the roadways during the pandemic. This research led to a series of special reports, including two being issued today: Early Estimates of Motor Vehicle Traffic Fatalities and Fatality Rate by Sub-Categories in 2020 and Update to Special Reports on Traffic Safety During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency: Fourth Quarter Data. These update earlier reports released in October 2019, Drug and Alcohol Prevalence in Seriously and Fatally Injured Road Users Before and During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, and Examination of the Traffic Safety Environment During the Second Quarter of 2020: Special Report and January’s Update to Special Reports on Traffic Safety During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.

NHTSA’s research suggests that throughout the national public health emergency and associated lockdowns, driving patterns and behaviors changed significantly, and that drivers who remained on the roads engaged in more risky behavior, including speeding, failing to wear seat belts, and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Traffic data indicates that average speeds increased throughout the year, and examples of extreme speeds became more common, while the evidence also shows that fewer people involved in crashes used their seat belts.
