HEALTH CARE, WEATHER REPORTING - NOAA, NATIONAL PARKS, USAID, RESEARCH, FDA, CDC & an endless list of agencies created to protect Americans have been shuttered & destroyed. FOOD PROGRAMS for POOR KIDS are gone.
The NATIONAL BUDGET defines a nation & its priorities.
MAGA GOP defined MORAL DEPRAVITY when you can't feed hungry kids or provide HEALTH CARE but can fund TAX CUTS for THE WEALTHY!
Recently 2 men commented on their experiences with SOCIAL SECURITY.
Local offices were closed & each had to travel a distance. One was declared DECEASED & had to prove he was still ALIVE.
Each waited for hours in line to address their sudden rejections. They both acknowledged that they were not in dire need to have their SOCIAL SECURITY resumed, but what of others who are DISABLED or can't travel? Who can't stand in line for hours to have their SOCIAL SECURITY restored?
What of HUNGRY KIDS?
What of Americans who are not FOREWARNED of STORMS, FLOODING, HURRICANES, TORNADOES?
What about tourists who can't visit NATIONAL PARKS because there's no staff? What about national park maintenance?
Is this the AMERICA we want or deserve?
