I literally just attempted to apply a week ago. After I applied my application said “The average wait time is 200-230 days. The average wait time for you in Maryland is 388 days.” I literally just rescinded my application because I can’t wait 13 months to get some help. INSANE.
If there is so much fraud that has been found, who was the first person arrested? Nobody yet?

Our daughter had a massive stroke in late Nov 2024 and spent 2 months in the hospital. She is now living at home with us at 30 years old and was a 6th grade teacher. She was immediately called by Drs the first week as totally disabled most likely for the rest of her life as she cannot speak and complete right side of her body is paralyzed. We put in for total disability first half of Jan and they said it would be about 3 months to get her into the system. Now they are telling us 6-8 more months before they can start her in the system. It is completely sad and ridiculous it is this way in America today.
This has been the worst 5.5 weeks in the history of presidential administration’s. These people are absolutely ignorant, arrogant and incompetent.
It took me fifteen months to get my disabled son's survivor benefits when his dad died. That was in 2023. I imagine now it would literally take forever.
