We were just denied entry at the EPA

Yesterday, our SEEC members showed up in full force at the EPA to protest the administration’s illegal funding freeze.

And, they were denied entry.

SEEC Co-Chair Paul Tonko (NY-20) and Members Yassamin Ansari (AZ-03), Maxine Dexter (OR-03), Jerrold Nadler (NY-12), and Melanie Stansbury (NM-01) led the charge to demand that Elon Musk and his cronies stop their dismantling of the EPA. If you support their diligence and advocacy for the EPA, please consider a donation at this pressing moment in the environmental movement.

We could have expected that the Trump administration would undermine emissions and pollution regulations – but these assaults on EPA’s ability to simply function at all have gone far beyond the pale. Trump and Musk have attacked the agency’s workforce and illegally withheld billions of dollars in funding – funds that states and local governments rely upon for activities like removing lead from water systems and cleaning up contaminated industrial sites.

The impacts to our communities’ health and economic prosperity are monumental – which is why our SEEC members are fighting tooth-and-nail for the EPA. For over 50 years, it has been our shield to protect our waters, keep our air clean, and safeguard public health. It is a non-negotiable tool to tackle the climate crisis, and we won’t back down.

President Trump and the unelected Elon Musk want to roll out the red carpet for corporate polluters, but our SEEC members will continue to oppose this illegal power grab at every turn. You can power their efforts with a donation of any amount today:

More to come,
SEEC PAC

Thanks to your help in 2024, SEEC PAC was able to re-elect over 95% of our pro-environment members to the U.S. House of Representatives — defying the odds on a night where Democrats lost seats. Now we are counting on you to help our SEEC members pass climate, clean energy and environmental justice policies in the 119th Congress while we continue fighting for a sustainable future.

The Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition Political Action Committee (SEEC PAC) is an organization that supports members in the U.S. House of Representatives and candidates who fight for clean energy, climate change solutions, environmental justice, and protection of our nation’s clean air, water, wildlife, and public lands. Will you make a donation to our fight today?
