Tell Congress: Keep Grizzlies Protected

Grizzly bears are one of our country’s most iconic species. Like gray wolves, they play a critical role in maintaining the balance of their ecosystems and represent what we can do when we work together to restore a species. While we have made great strides bringing bears back, the job is not finished and it is far too early to strip them of protections.

Send your Members of Congress an email today supporting the continued protection of grizzly bears.

The Biden Administration will soon announce their decision on continued protections for grizzly bears and some in Congress are already trying to "delist" them legislatively.

We know what awaits grizzly bears if they lose these protections. Montana, Wyoming and Idaho are becoming more aggressive towards wolves and other large carnivores in recent years. Slashing these protections could expose these bears to trophy hunting and bring grizzly bear recovery, region-wide, to a grinding halt.

The recovery of grizzly bears has only been possible with the protections of the Endangered Species Act. Slashing these protections now–before the job is finished–could erase nearly five decades of work. Please email your senators and representative today and tell them that you support the continued protection of grizzly bears under the highly-successful Endangered Species Act.

Thank you for your commitment to wildlife and wild places.

Sincerely,

The Endangered Species Coalition
