New climate survey results break down Americans' opinions on everything from climate news to local impacts and more. For one thing, Americans are evenly split on whether climate policies help, hurt, or have no impact on the U.S. economy.
Alcohol is the leading driver of substance use-related fatalities in America. Fortunately, primary care providers and emergency departments are well positioned to recognize signs of unsafe drinking—and to help connect patients with proven treatments.
Roughly 90% of the ocean is deep sea—any area below 200 meters (656 feet) in depth—making it one of the largest ecosystems on the planet.
As human activities continue to expand into these delicate habitats, many scientists and policy experts, including Pew marine fellow Dr. Diva Amon (pictured), believe greater precautions must be taken.
