Why 2025 could be the year MAGA CRUMBLES

In 2025, MAGA could face significant challenges, even as Donald Trump and his allies return to positions of power. Economic policies, like tariffs and tax cuts for the wealthy, could lead to a downturn, particularly if inflation rises again, putting pressure on red state governors. Internal divisions within the MAGA movement, particularly between hard-right factions and libertarians, could tear the coalition apart as policy disagreements become harder to overlook. Trump's authoritarian tendencies are causing unease among some supporters, with fears that weaponizing the DOJ could backfire. The combination of economic strain, internal fractures, and unchecked power could lead to the collapse of the MAGA movement, even with Trump in office.

Latino for Trump thinks "good" Latinos won't be deported

CNN covered the story of a Latino Trump supporter who believes Trump will only deport immigrants with criminal records, sparing "family-oriented" undocumented immigrants. He hopes Trump will protect hardworking immigrants in low-wage jobs. However, Trump’s policies are broader, aiming to deport both undocumented and legal immigrants, including those with temporary protected status. Ana Navarro shared that some Trump supporters are now worried about their undocumented nannies, highlighting a disconnect between supporters' beliefs and Trump’s actual stance. This signals a potential "rude awakening" for those assuming family-oriented immigrants will be spared.

From yesterday’s show:

Kari Lake loses AGAIN, PLEASE go away forever!

Ruben Gallego has won Arizona’s Senate race, defeating Kari Lake with 50% of the vote and a lead of 66,000 votes. Despite efforts to rally support, Lake’s defeat appears definitive, following her loss in the 2022 gubernatorial race. Many Arizona Republicans who supported Trump opted not to vote for Lake, indicating her limited appeal even within her party. Lake’s past support for Obama and perceived opportunism have contributed to her unpopularity. She may not be gone for good, however, since Donald Trump may consider her for a role in his administration.

From yesterday’s show:

Stop the '24 election conspiracies, we sound like Trump 2020

A small slice of the left has claimed that voter fraud caused Trump’s win in 2024, similar to his 2020 claims of fraud leading to his loss. However, there is no evidence suggesting fraud in 2024, even as Trump’s votes increased and the Democratic candidate’s votes decreased slightly compared to 2020. Automatic voter registration since 2020 may explain some of the turnout variations, as registered voters are not always active voters. Other theories, like Starlink’s involvement, lack any supporting evidence. The real factors are probably numerous and likely include dissatisfaction with the Democratic establishment and economic anxiety across the country.
