The Self-Serving Supreme Court Is Exonerating Corrupt Officials For Its Own Benefit

The court is letting other government officials off the hook to shelter itself from scrutiny about the justices’ own deep-seated corruption.

By Amira Mattar,Courtney Hostetler

excerpt:

Opinion by opinion, the U.S. Supreme Court has moved toward a judicial framework that insulates justices from growing public concern about their own corruption. In a series of cases, the court has overturned corruption convictions of public officials who received substantial gifts and other things of value in exchange for government favors in decisions that detail the officials’ egregious behavior and yet absolve them of it.

In his law review article “Corruption and the Supreme Court,” Georgetown law professor Josh Chafetz exposes the self-serving nature of these decisions: The court is letting other government officials off the hook to shelter itself from scrutiny about the justices’ own deep-seated corruption.

In the 2024 Election, the Green Party Is Not the Green Choice

If you deeply care about the fight for a more healthy and just planet, and if you deeply care about building power, then I believe—regardless of our policy disagreements with VP Harris—that we must support her in this election.

Jill Stein COLLAPSES, exposed as unserious HORRIBLE person

The GREEN PARTY has no members in elected office...just a fizzle! There were significant issues Jill Stein raised during one of her Massachusetts fiascos that were noteworthy & many of us circulated her rhetoric, but it was apparent even then that she was not ready for PRIME TIME - totally unfamiliar with government functions & issues. When she predictably lost the presidential election, she solicited contributions to challenge election results. We contributed, but she never follow through. There was one state that reported more votes for TRUMP than registered voters. A challenge to the election results would not have made her a winner, but would have revealed voting irregularities. It's unclear what her game is.

JILL STEIN WAS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME WHEN SHE RAN FOR GOVERNOR & THE SAME HOLDS TRUE! SHE IS UNABLE TO ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING OR ORGANIZE BEYOND TRASHING DEMOCRATS. DOES NOT WORK WELL WITH OTHERS!

JILL STEIN PROMOTED A RECOUNT IN THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION & SHE NEVER FOLLOWED THROUGH.

JILL STEIN STILL HASN'T LEARNED!
