How Trump's billionaires are hijacking affordable housing
By Thom Hartmann
America’s morbidly rich billionaires are at it again, this time screwing the average family’s ability to have decent, affordable housing in their never-ending quest for more, more, more. Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, and Denmark have had enough and done something about it: we should, too.
Trump’s vision of America has always been dark and dystopian. Abandoning the inaugural tradition of bringing the country together after a contentious race, his 2017 inaugural ‘American carnage’ address revealed a seething darkness, a visceral hatred of Americans who hadn’t supported his candidacy.
What historians may term Trump’s “penis speech” — the climax, as it were, of his final days seeking the votes of Americans to put him back in the Oval Office — was actually far more revealing about Trump than were his “lewd remarks.”
