Democracy Docket depends on you

When I came up with the idea of Democracy Docket in 2019, I never dreamed it would turn into the force it is today.

What began as a quarterly newsletter to a few hundred friends and colleagues has become daily and weekly newsletters that reach over 225,000 readers like you. The case repository, which was initially intended to ease my burden of constantly emailing attachments to the curious, now exceeds more than 800.

A few things have remained unchanged: Democracy Docket’s entire website and flagship newsletters are free to everyone and we remain laser focused on our mission to be the leading digital news platform dedicated to information, analysis and opinion about voting rights and elections in the courts.

As the company has grown from a part-time team of three to a full-time staff of 16, we have had to explore different ways to support the site and its growing content.

That’s  why we launched a premium membership earlier this year, asking readers like you to contribute $10/month or $120/year to support Democracy Docket’s team grow and thrive.

As a member, you’ll gain exclusive analysis from me, but more importantly, you will allow us to expand our staff and content to keep pace with the evolving media landscape (and the onslaught of attacks on voting).

If you believe in our mission and want to help support Democracy Docket, especially during the busiest time for our team, consider becoming a member now.

With only a month until the election, democracy literally is on the docket. Thank you for loyal readership and your support.
