Goats + Watermelon = The Perfect Summer Party 🍉

Goats Beat the Heat with a Watermelon Party

We threw a mini watermelon party for our resident goats this week! These juicy treats not only make for a fun snack, but they also help keep our goats cool during the summer heat. Watching them enjoy each bite is a sweet reminder of why we do what we do—ensuring our rescued animals get the best care and a few extra moments of joy. The summer heat can be tough, but with a little watermelon, our goats are staying refreshed and happy!

Latte and Mocha: A Bond for Life

Mocha was abandoned at a gas station with several other domestic bunnies, a situation that’s often a death sentence for these vulnerable animals. After her rescue, Mocha gave birth, and while her daughters found new homes, her son, Latte, stayed by her side. Latte is deeply bonded with his mom and may take a little time to warm up to new people, but the two are inseparable, often cuddling together even on the hottest days. Rabbits like Latte and Mocha can live 8-12 years and require more care than many realize. To thrive, they require ample space to explore and often prefer to stay on the ground, though they can form strong bonds with their humans, seeking out physical contact and attention.
