TW: Sexual Assault
As the first state to ban abortion after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs ruling, Missouri knows what's at stake for reproductive freedom this year.
In Missouri’s 1st congressional district, abortion rights champion and Justice Democrats incumbent Rep. Cori Bush is fighting to save her seat from an AIPAC-backed challenger who once managed the campaign of an anti-abortion conservative.
Cori is out with a powerful new ad sharing her own abortion story after she was raped at the age of 17. Since she was elected to Congress, she’s fought hard for reproductive freedom and abortion rights for all, including becoming the first Democratic member of Congress to demand a repeal of the Comstock Act, an outdated 1873 ‘zombie law’ that Republicans are trying to use to ban abortion pills and procedures nationwide.
But Cori could be unseated by a so-called Democratic challenger who’s worked for an anti-abortion extremist and is being propped up with donations from AIPAC’s right-wing megadonors.
Access to abortion, birth control, and IVF continues to be at grave risk, especially after the Supreme Court recently punted a case around allowing emergency abortions in states with total bans back to the lower courts.

Together, we must show Cori’s opponent and the GOP dark money donor network supporting him that St. Louis is NOT for sale.
In solidarity,
Justice Democrats
