This is likely going to continue as the public comes to terms with Trump's criminal convictions, and moderate Republicans move away from him. Even with polls showing us that Donald Trump is losing a great deal of support following his criminal convictions, he is still technically in the polling, aggregates, polling ahead of President Biden in the national race, and of course in many swing states. But there is one other X factor, not just Donald Trump's criminal convictions. But what about that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Guy? Right. Well, according to the latest numbers, when you add Bobby Kennedy Jr into the mix, president Biden basically runs away with this year's election. Here's what they found in Biden's home state of Pennsylvania, the incumbent is trailing Trump 45% to 43% head to head, but he leads 41% to Trump's 39%. When Kennedy, who pulls in 8% is a choice in Wisconsin, top target for Democrats, Trump edges out Biden 41% to 40% in a two person race. But Biden takes a seven point lead, 38% to 31% when Kennedy is a third option taking 13%. Michigan shows Biden at 41, Trump at 39, Kennedy at 11%. Both Trump and Biden are tied at 45% without Kennedy in the race. So what's happening is that Bobby Kennedy Jr. Is taking more votes away from Donald Trump than he is from President Biden, which is hilarious because people including this article, say that the conventional wisdom is that Kennedy's gonna take more votes from Biden, except all of the polls over the last few months show Kennedy taking more votes from Trump than he is from Biden. So conventional wisdom be damned. Just look at the numbers. Hell, you wanna know why Bobby is pulling more votes away from, uh, uh, Trump than he is from Biden. It's 'cause he is out there talking like a Republican. Those attacks on vaccines, those are Republican talking points. Now, those attacks on Covid protocols, those are Republican talking points. He, he even went as far as, uh, in a recent interview to mention the fact that he thinks that, you know, we should look at whether or not there was political motives in the prosecution of the Capitol rioters. That is a right wing talking point. In fact, and I've known Bobby for years, by the way. I haven't been in touch with him for many years, but he of course was one of the hosts on Ring of Fire when I was the producer. Uh, he worked in New York. I worked in Florida. So we only met each other in person a handful of times. But you know, I, I did know him to a degree. He was a huge progressive. The person I knew then is not the person that is campaigning for president now. Absolutely not even close. But that's just FYI, why I refer to him as Bobby because he is always been Bobby for us. Anyway, that aside, he is using right wing talking points. And to be perfectly clear, he is using it to his advantage Because what's happening right now, 'cause I've talked about all the polls showing that Donald Trump is losing support from the moderates, including from members of his own Republican party. And you have a lot of those people who, because they lean Republican, they're not gonna stomach voting for a Democrat. But if you have this independent guy out there who's talking like a Republican, which Bobby Kennedy Jr. Is doing, then suddenly he becomes a viable option for the people who can't stomach voting for Trump. Since he's a convicted felon, I think Bobby's support is gonna continue to go up. And I do think he is gonna continue to pull way more from the Republican side than he does from the Democratic side. The polls are showing us right here. It's already happening. So if Bobby is smart and he does lean more into the Republican side, he can take away some of these disaffected Republican voters to the point where he still won't be able to win. But he would steal enough Republican support to ensure that President Biden does pull off a victory in November.
