In less than one month, our first 2024 primary fight will take place in Pennsylvania, where Justice Democrats incumbent Rep. Summer Lee will face off against a so-called Democratic challenger taking money from Republicans and Moderate PAC, a group bankrolled by Republican megadonors.
In fact, Moderate PAC recently launched the very first attack ads of the cycle against Summer this month, fueled by the richest man in Pennsylvania: Republican billionaire Jeff Yass.
Yass — one of Donald Trump’s potential picks for Treasury Secretary — has made it his mission to defund public education, prevent higher taxes on the rich, and ban abortion in PA. In order to succeed in advancing this right-wing agenda, he’s trying to push Summer out of office.
If you have to rely on a Super PAC bankrolled by Pennsylvania’s richest Republican, you’re not just unfit to run in a Democratic primary, you’re actively anti-democracy too.
Summer’s opponent is relying on dark money and right-wing millionaires and billionaires — meanwhile, Summer is counting on grassroots supporters like YOU to help her fight back. She won with people power in 2022, and that’s how she’ll do it again in 2024.
