This doesn’t happen when Democrats are in charge

 

On Saturday, Congress passed legislation to keep the government funded after Kevin McCarthy's last-minute turnaround after weeks of dragging his feet to cater to Donald Trump and the extreme MAGA wing of his party. Republicans threatened to hold our government, and our economy, hostage to score political points ahead of the 2024 election, and it endangered the health, safety, and livelihoods of countless people. This doesn't happen when Democrats are in charge. No one wins when the government shuts down due to political grandstanding. It's different when Democrats are in charge; we work together toward bipartisan solutions to keep the government funded. Put bluntly: House Republicans are failing Americans. These latest antics from the MAGA wing of the Republican party were dangerous, and reckless, and will have lasting impacts on everyday people. Congress needs common sense, not shenanigans, and Democrats are ready to deliver real solutions after the 2024 elections when we win back the House and hold the Senate. Jeff
