Speaker Jim Jordan?

Speaker Jordan? (🤢)     I can't believe we have to even ponder the idea of a Speaker Jim Jordan, yet here we are.    If you recall, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi did not even agree to sit Jim Jordan on the Jan 6th Committee because he was one of the main actors under investigation for actions on that horrific day.     Now, MAGA Republicans have come full circle and are ready to get behind Jim Jordan to make him the next Speaker of the House. Today is not a pretty day in America and it's a day that will go down in the history books. The question that we must ask ourselves is what do we do next?    There is only one option: we must take back the House and restore civility to Congress and to the country as a whole.    Do you think Jim Jordan is going to reach across the aisle and work on key issues that impact every single American from coast to coast, not to mention Alaska and Hawaii? Jim Jordan is too busy preparing his yelling voice for the fraudulent impeachment investigation so he can stay in the good graces of his buddy Donald Trump.   The American people are looking to Washington now, mostly with disgust and a little bit of confusion. I got so many texts and calls from friends and family yesterday asking me "Hey, why did you guys remove the Speaker?" First things first, WE did not remove the Speaker. Our side did not do this, this was a Republican ouster and we were merely bystanders watching the circus unfold like everyone else.    Of course, no Democrat voted to save Kevin McCarthy. That man sold his soul a long time ago and he made his bed. We do not feel sorry for him, nor feel any sense of obligation to bail him out. He has been a disaster for our country in every possible sense.    Some folks also asked: "OK, now what?" That is a more complicated question... We have never had this happen before and we are all trying to navigate the murky waters we find ourselves in. As far as we Democrats are concerned, this opens up the opportunity to reach out to the American people, especially those on the fence, unsure what side they want to support in 2024, to prove to them we can govern responsibly because our members are driven by a sense of duty, while the MAGA GOP, well, just turn on the tv and you can see for yourself what drives them.    Just make sure you don't sit next to one of them during a play, things can get very awkward very fast...   We cannot let this moment in time go to waste. Now is the time, we are ramping up our efforts for the 2024 cycle, we must take back the House and make Hakeem Jeffries the Speaker of the House.
