Ever since Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell’s hand-picked Supreme Court majority overturned the constitutional right to an abortion when they ruled on Dobbs v. Jackson — Republicans have waged relentless attacks on reproductive rights across the country.
Since just last year, 14 states have effectively banned abortion, and several others have enacted laws and timelines so restrictive that they deny abortion access at 6 weeks, before most people even know they’re pregnant.
And next month, a pivotal constitutional amendment is on the ballot in Ohio — one that would protect reproductive health care and contraception in the state’s constitution.
Far-right, anti-abortion groups are already spending millions of dollars to spread misinformation about this amendment, and Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights — the group leading the charge to pass this amendment — urgently needs our help to fight back.
I’m asking you to split a contribution between Ohioans United for Reproductive Rights and my campaign for U.S. Senate. The attacks on reproductive rights are coming from all sides. That’s why we need your help — today.
I’m running for Senate because we are up against a radical and partisan Supreme Court hellbent on forcing a social agenda on a country that does not want it.
In the Senate, I will work to expand the Supreme Court and abolish the filibuster to protect reproductive freedom.
And in Ohio this year, just as we saw in Kansas, in Michigan, and in California last year, advocates for abortion access are mobilizing to protect reproductive freedom and defeat right-wing attacks on abortion access.
This is an issue that affects all of us. When a country starts losing its rights, it starts losing its democracy. Access to abortion care is about human rights and fundamental freedoms.
