George Santos charged with conspiracy, wire fraud and more
Yesterday, Congressman George Santos was charged by the US Attorney for the Eastern District of New York with 23 counts of conspiracy, wire fraud, false statements, falsification of records, aggravated identity theft and credit card fraud. The US Attorney’s office released this statement this afternoon: “The Office will relentlessly pursue criminal charges against anyone who uses the electoral process as an opportunity to defraud the public and our government.” Santos is alleged to have led multiple fraudulent criminal schemes, repeatedly lying to and deceiving the American public in the process. The people of New York deserve better than an indicted liar representing them in Congress. He must resign, but since he won’t, he must be defeated the old fashioned way -- by electing Anna Kaplan, the former two-term NY State Senator in 2024.
