The most important FEC fundraising deadline we’ve faced this cycle is coming up on Thursday. Can you give us a minute (or two, tops!) to explain why Tammy needs your help now more than ever?
As you may already know, polls are rolling out nearly every day showing how competitive key Senate races are, including the critical race right here in Wisconsin. And political pundits agree that Ron Johnson’s seat is one of the most likely to flip this year — news that Senate Republicans clearly don’t want to hear.
They know how vulnerable Johnson is, which is why Mitch McConnell’s super PAC network has already raised tens of millions of dollars to protect his seat and plans on flooding Wisconsin’s airwaves in order to attack Democrats and spread lies.
They know how slim our Senate majority is, and how important flipping his seat blue would be for our work ahead.
This is why it’s so crucial that we stay strong in this fight. But the issue is, that we’re behind on our fundraising goals this quarter, which is a real problem we need to correct. And there’s a very important way we want to go about doing that:
On Thursday night, we’ll close the books on our FEC fundraising deadline. And shortly after, our campaign will file our quarterly fundraising report detailing how much we’ve raised and how many folks have pitched in over the last three months. Everyone from Mitch McConnell to right-wing megadonors to the political pundits will be able to see our numbers, and they’ll use them to gauge how strong our momentum is.
That’s why we must report the largest number of individual grassroots contributions possible — and why Tammy needs your help right now.
