Do you want to know the real key to our success?
It’s no big secret or magic sorcery, it’s this grassroots team. It’s you.
Without the support of folks like you, I wouldn’t be representing the people in Congress or writing this email to you now. (And yes, I actually write and approve all of these emails. No seriously, I do.)
The lifeblood of all the progress we make and the core of this campaign is this community made up of individual supporters and activists.
Unlike many in the GOP, who have a handful of billionaires and dark money special interest groups in their pockets funding them, we have tens of thousands of supporters making an average donation of $19.60 this midterm election cycle. That’s why their political agenda reflects selfishness while ours reflects compassion.
And time and time again, we have overcome their efforts. We did it in 2020, when this team helped me defeat my billionaire-funded GOP challenger, protect our House majority, and flip the Senate.
Last year, we got together and helped California Governor Gavin Newsom come out on top in the Republican-led recall election.
Now, with Trump rallying across the nation to amplify misinformation and give his MAGA candidates a boost, and Kevin McCarthy vying for control of the House and the Speaker position, I need this team to do what they’ve always done: Stand up for what’s right.
We need to band together once again to protect our majorities and keep democracy moving forward. Especially after the last week.
