Change is coming for the starving manatees

I opened my newspaper last week and saw something that made me smile. Take a look:

US to enhance protection of manatees

A few months ago, I let you know about the starving manatees in Florida. Many of you gave to the Save the Manatee Club which has been working tirelessly to save the manatees. Well, our efforts paid off!

The U.S. Fish and wildlife service has agreed to revise the critical habitat designation for the manatees later this year. As you may remember, manatees in Florida are dying from starvation because of water pollution. Now, with this new designation, the manatee's habitat will be safeguarded.

Together we are making a difference!
