Our major supplemental budget

Janet Mills for Governor

Last month, the Legislature came together in a bipartisan way to pass my budget, and I am proud of all the progress it makes for Maine people.

In addition to the $850 relief checks to help Maine people deal with inflation (one of the strongest measures in the country), I am particularly excited about:

  • Delivering Two Years of Free Community College for all students from the high school graduating classes of 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 who enroll in a Maine community college full-time.
  • Overhauling Student Loan Debt Repayment Program providing an annual $2,500 -- up to $25,000 -- refundable tax credit benefit for student loan debt relief.
  • Increasing Pay for Child Care Workers and Early Childhood Educators to strengthen our child care system across Maine.
  • Expanding Children’s Health Insurance to cover an additional 40,000 Maine kids.
  • And the list goes on!

In just three years, we have accomplished so much. The work we’re doing today builds on the progress we’ve fought so hard to achieve.

Today, I’m asking you to make a $5.00 contribution to my reelection campaign to help me keep fighting for a better Maine. Together, we can keep moving our state forward.

Thank you,

Janet Mills
