It’s official. I am Kentucky’s Democratic nominee for Senate, running against Rand Paul.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky has never had a Black person be at the top of the ticket — but last night, we changed that.
If anybody tells you change is not possible...tell 'em look at Kentucky.
In November, we will make history by defeating Rand Paul and expanding our Senate majority. We’re going to finally pass the urgent policies our communities need to survive like Medicare for All and student debt cancellation. And we’re going to make sure that Mitch McConnell is NEVER majority leader again.
The challenges we face here in the Commonwealth and across the country are real. And they’re not going to go away by us wishing, or waiting for Rand Paul to do something about it. We’re going to lead ourselves.
I’m running to replace Rand Paul because the cost of inaction is too high.
I’ve lived in poverty. I’ve been unhoused. I’ve lost family members to gun violence. I am still paying off my student loans. And I know that when our politicians ignore these struggles, our pain only continues.
Together, we have the power to change the future of Kentucky. But this kind of deep organizing work requires significant resources and funding. Please chip in $10 or anything you can today so that we can kick off this work to replace Rand Paul.
I want you to know I am honored to be on this journey with you. Thank you for believing.
— Charles
