Brian Kemp bragged about voter suppression on national television

Stacey Abrams for Governor

“I was as frustrated as anyone else with the results, especially at the federal level. And we did something about it with Senate Bill 202.”
– Brian Kemp (5/1/22)

That’s right. Earlier this month, Brian Kemp joined a long line of Republicans who’ve admitted to changing election rules they didn’t like just because Trump lost and Joe Biden became president.

Brian Kemp and his allies are afraid of our power and they’re working overtime to restrict access to the ballot box. What’s worse is they’re so sure it’ll work, they’re bragging about it on national television.

You and the rest of this grassroots team are our last line of defense and I know we have what it takes to overcome their voter suppression and elect Stacey Abrams.

So I have to ask: Can I count on you to chip in $5 or whatever you’re able today to help fund our voter protection efforts? We’re going to need all the support we can get if we’re up against opponents who’ll stop at nothing to keep voters from voting.

It’s no surprise that Kemp and his allies will use their power to stop voters from turning out, making their voices heard and electing real leadership who will put Georgians first — but it is insulting to see Kemp admit it so brazenly.

But we’ve got something they don’t have. We have YOU and this amazing grassroots team ready to do everything in our power to reach every voter and make sure every eligible Georgian has an opportunity to exercise their fundamental right to vote.

Please chip in $5 or whatever you can right now to make sure our campaign has the resources to fight back against extreme voter suppression in Georgia.

Nothing is more urgent than this fight. But I know that together, it’s a fight we can — and will — win.

Thanks so much for being on this team. We couldn’t do it without you.
