This week, Brian Kemp signed into law his dangerous criminal carry bill — which makes it easier to carry a hidden, loaded gun in public without having to get a permit.
Yes, you read that correctly. With the rise in gun violence, he is taking steps to make our state less safe instead of safer.
Kemp ignored warnings from law enforcement and advocates from across the state — and from 7 in 10 Georgians who oppose the law. Instead, he sided with extremists and special interests to make our communities less safe, endanger law enforcement and increase the risk of gun violence in Georgia.
It doesn’t have to be this way. With Stacey Abrams as governor, this criminal carry bill would have never become a law. And when she’s elected, she’ll repeal this extreme, unpopular measure.
