If there's another insurrection, we know who to blame

 

GOP Congressman Lee Zeldin was asked in an interview with POLITICO last week to admit that Biden won the 2020 elections, and he refused to answer and berated the interviewers.   That's right -- three months into 2021, Republicans are STILL refusing to admit Biden fairly won the 2020 election. While their stubborn denial might seem laughable to some, we're still really worried about the implications of their continued attack on our democracy.   Every day that Republicans are allowed to continue to spread this conspiracy-fueled assault on our democracy, Trump's followers feel increasingly validated about their decision to support the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. And the risk of another Capitol insurrection-like attack continues to grow more likely.   We can't forget just how devastated and vulnerable the Jan. 6 attack left our country. We need to get every GOP representative who has continued to perpetuate Trump's election fraud lies out of our government in 2022 -- our country and our democracy cannot afford for them to stay in power a minute longer.   Our number one priority right now is ousting every fascist and anti-democracy GOPer from our government and replacing them with progressive champions of voting rights, health care, education, and so much more. But to be able to do this, we need to get started fighting for 2022 right now.   Republicans are wasting no time -- they've started mass fundraising efforts, launched a nationwide voter suppression campaign, and sent a new wave of misinformation to their base.   We can't fall behind -- not now and not ever.
